A knockout beach, a fun park, laidback restaurants – Cala Millor holidays give you the whole shebang.

Beat-the-rest bay

The name Cala Millor roughly translates as ‘better bay’. And they didn’t just pluck the name out of thin air. They’re on about the bleach-white, Blue Flag beach. It’s what catapulted this humble town into a family-friendly holiday hotspot – the biggest on Majorca’s east coast.

Out and about

If you’ve got a budding Lewis Hamilton in your brood, they’ll love the amusement park in Cala Millor. It’s got bouncy castles, bungee trampolines and a go-karting track. Just outside of town, there’s a drive-through safari on the way to Sa Coma. Or you can make the drive inland to Son Servera. Here, the main attraction is a half-finished, neo-Gothic church designed by one of Spain's best-known architects, Bellver – a pupil of Gaudi.

Lengthy sands

There’s plenty of chatter about the beach in this neck of the woods. And it doesn’t disappoint. You’re looking at a bumper breadcrumb trail of sand that runs for just over a mile. Plus, you’re sorted for family holidays – there are enough watersports to last you a lifetime. On the thumb-shaped headland, there’s Punta de n’Amer – a nature reserve with a 17-century watchtower.
