Holidays to Santandria whisk you to a village on Menorca's beautiful western coast. And you're only a few kilometres from the island's most beautiful city, Ciutadella.

A relaxing base

This one-time fishing village on Menorca’s western coast is surrounded by fertile countryside. Thanks to that it’s got a secluded feel, though you’ll also find you’re surprisingly well connected. The bigger resorts of Cala Blanca and Sa Caleta are within strolling distance, while postcard-perfect Ciutadella's a 15-minute drive or just over half an hour's walk away.

Blue Flag beach

Playa Santandria is a sheltered cove with white sands that slope into warm, clear waters. It’s up there with the best of them – this is the beach the locals choose to come to at weekends. When it comes to snacks, you’ve got beach bars and restaurants backing onto the sands. And if you fancy a change, you can walk to Cala Blanca beach in 20 minutes.

Near Ciutadella

There’s a cheap, regular bus service to Ciutadella – one of the Balearic Islands' oldest and prettiest cities. Here you can wander the narrow, cobbled streets of the old town. There are also squares, dotted with Moorish, Baroque and Spanish buildings. Later, you can either spend your time visiting the museums or cathedrals, or relax outside a pavement café in the Plaça d’es Born.
