Take the brood somewhere tropical on a family break to the Seychelles.
Tropical climes
The Seychelles are part of a pretty elite crowd when it comes to beach breaks – these islands are in the same high-calibre club as the likes of Mauritius and the Maldives. They bob in the balmy waters of the Indian Ocean, so temperatures hardly ever dip below the mid 20s. But with leafy palms outnumbering people, and plenty of forest-clad territory to explore, there’s shade aplenty to give little’uns a break from the sun’s glare.
Belting beaches
Sun, sea and sand are right in the Seychelles wheelhouse – on the main island, Mahe, you could visit a couple of beaches a day and still not come close to seeing them all. They’re not sweeping open stretches like you might expect, though – instead there are big boulders which are ideal for kids to clamber on, plus glass-clear shallows that are superb for early introductions to snorkelling.
Next-level nature
If your little ones love flora, fauna and everything from four-legged to flying animals, the Seychelles are a great pick. There are protected national and marine parks where weird and wonderful wildlife is in strong supply. Giant tortoises, hermit crabs, tree frogs and black parrots are dotted around the islands. And if you’re lucky, you might spot a Nemo lookalike while snorkelling – clownfish often drift around the Seychelles’ reefs.
Family holidays to the Seychelles come complete with your flights, hotel and transfers in one handy bundle.
