Brac Island holidays aren't short of sights, with rolling countryside, towering peaks, and a big-name beach. What's more, daytrips to Hvar Island and Split are super easy.
Big on beauty
Brac, the largest island in Dalmatia, is a feast for the eyes. Its countryside's scattered with cutesy stone houses and over a million olive trees. Make sure you sample some olive oil – it’s still hand-picked and pressed the old-fashioned way. The island's also a big hit with hikers and bikers, who flock to Vidova Gora, the highest peak you’ll find on any of the Adriatic Islands.
Daytrip destinations
Brac's far from isolated. Flocks of ferries chug off to red-roofed Split each day, and the journey takes less than an hour. This mainland city’s got historical sights in spades, including the UNESCO-recognised Roman ruins of Diocletian’s Palace. What’s more, Hvar Island’s a 20-minute boat trip away. Thanks to its vineyard-draped countryside, it's ideal for wine connoisseurs.
