Holidays to Cap de Salou have everything from daytime beach lounging to theme park fun, plus loads of restaurants plating up mouthwatering Spanish delights.

Sandy beach coves

North-east Spain's Costa Dorada, or Golden Coast, shines brightest at Cap de Salou. Here you'll find several coves, each one sandy and peaceful. A couple of Blue Flag award-winning beaches – Salou and La Pineda – ramp things up, and come with plenty of places to eat and relax.

Wheels and water

Thrill-seekers can race around a track or ride the exhilarating Bungee Rocket at Karting Salou, or head to PortAventura World for fast rides – both are a 15-minute drive away. Even closer, in neighbouring La Pineda, there are waterslides for the whole family at Aquopolis.

Dining out

Cap de Salou's got its own section of restaurants where you can choose from local, British or Irish food. If you take a 10-minute train to Salou, you'll find tourist-friendly joints and modern Spanish eateries jostling for position with Michelin-starred restaurants.

Golden nights

In mid-August, Nits Daurades – or Golden Nights – brings a week-long summer festival of pop concerts, flamenco displays and folk singing. Make sure to catch the special church service followed by a street procession and a fireworks display on the beach.
