With a top-notch beach, all kinds of watersports and a mini-train, Kiotari holidays cater to sun-seekers.

Tailor-made town

You’ll come across Kiotari on the east coast of Rhodes. This place is a newbie that’s popped up around a handful of plush hotels. And that’s the beauty of it. The hotels look after the entertainment and the Blue Flag beach sorts everything else. Plus, it’s an hour’s drive to Rhodes Town at the island’s tip.

Action-packed sands

This place has a winning beach in its possession. The sand-and-shingle strip’s in tip-top condition and it’s got the Blue Flag to prove it. But that’s not its only triumph. You can whizz across the water on an inflatable sofa, hop on a boat to Lindos or go on a fancy yacht trip from here, too.

Traditional tours

The resort’s mini-train will get you from A to B. Plus, it’s a scenic ride. You’ve got a couple of supermarkets to hop off at – they sell all the essentials, as well as olive oil-based souvenirs. For a taste of traditional Greece, it’s worth making the 10-minute drive up to Asklipio. It’s a mountain village with an 11th-century church, castle ruins and a tiny museum tucked inside an old olive press.
