With a strip full of big clubs and an even bigger beach, Laganas holidays are a recipe for a good time.

Lively Laganas

If Laganas was a person, it’d be an extrovert. Some of that’s down to its location. It’s scored a prime postcode, bang in the middle of Zante’s Laganas Bay, which is part of the protected Zakynthos Marine Park. And this place is in the business of fun in the sun, with a stack of clubs, bars and restaurants.

Number one beach

Bars aren’t the only string to Laganas’ bow. It’s also got a whopping nine-kilometre sandy beach to fall back on – the biggest on the Greek island. You won’t find watersports on offer here, since loggerhead turtles lay their eggs on the toffee-tinted sands. On the up side, it means you can get the perfect Insta pic without a jet-ski or banana boat in sight.

First-class clubbing

In the summer months, this place is wild. The strip jumps into action, so you can go for karaoke and cocktails, or crank it up a notch with DJ sets and foam parties. And peckish party animals have enough food options to keep them fuelled up – everything from McDonald’s to moussaka. Neon lights aside, there’s plenty of daytime action, too – in the form of escape rooms and go-karting.
