Whether you walk through historical sites or just relax on the beach, holidays to Needham's Point serve up pure Caribbean bliss.

Edge of paradise

Cradled on the south-west tip of Barbados, Needham's Point is a Caribbean combo of rich history, tropical vegetation and prime Bajan coastline. The town started out as a military base – a sea-battered wooden pier and military cemetery still stand as evidence. Now, of course, it's all soft sands and rum cocktails.

Island neighbours

Head left or right out of Needham's Point and you'll reach neighbouring Caribbean destinations after only 15 minutes in the car. For duty-free shopping and high-end dining, head to the lively capital of Bridgetown. In the opposite direction, St Lawrence has got energetic nightlife and waterfront restaurants aplenty.

Three's no crowd

Needham's got three sandy beaches to choose from for when you want to stretch out on sugar-like sand or paddle out to natural reefs. Peaceful Pebbles Beach is at the north end of town, the surfer's haven of Drill Hall is to the south, and bustling Needham's Point is right in the middle.
