Budoni holidays deliver limelight-hogging beaches, casual flocks of flamingos and throwbacks to authentic Sardinian village life.

All just beachy

The little village of Budoni keeps house on the north-east edge of Sardinia. A royal flush of suntrap beaches are spread like butter along the coast – in fact, they’ve been compared to the travel brochure superstars of the Caribbean, thanks to their icing-sugar white sands and peacock-blue waters. Stroll by the shorefront lagoons and you’ll clock local flocks of shrimp-pink flamingos, too.

Home-from-home

Despite being a favourite with holidaymakers, Budoni’s still got that authentic age-old village feel to it. We’re talking family-run tavernas with steaming bowls of clam spaghetti and suckling pig on the menu. And folk festivals where the locals celebrate Sardinia’s culture with multi-coloured parades and processions through the quaint stone streets.

Make waves like an A-lister

Budoni’s chummy with a heap of show-off towns – and you can whizz over to all of them in less than an hour by car. Juggle San Teodoro’s nightlife with the upmarket designer shops of Olbia and Porto Cervo. All of these places are dripping with celebrity appearances – peel your eyes for the likes of Elton John and Bradley Cooper.
