Holidays to Es Pujols serve up powdery beaches and saltwater lagoons, plus a tip-top market scene.

Balearic beauty

Es Pujols is an intimate resort on the north coast of the Balearic Island of Formentera. It's got a smattering of cocktail bars and open-air street cafés that stay open until the small hours. Nearby are white, sandy beaches with crystal-clear blue seas, as well as a saltwater lagoon.

Take a trip

For a wider look at Formentera, the circuit bus is a great way to see the whole of this pretty Spanish island. Three routes take you as far as the port town of La Savina in the north-east, all the way down to the lighthouse at Far de la Mola in the south-east – with stunning views in between.

Evening market

In the 1960s, hippies came to Es Pujols – and once the sun goes down it feels like they never left. On the seafront, you can buy tie-dyed clothes or sign up to yoga classes, while on the main high street you can pick up locally made ceramics and souvenirs.
