Lardos holidays are all about sponging up the best bits of rustic village life, and heading out on jaunts to A-list Greek towns.

Live like a local

Life in Lardos revolves around hot coffee and gossip in the rustic main village square. A spouting fountain dominates this social hub, and brick arches heavy with hot-pink bougainvillea perch next to tavernas and quiet bars, known as cafenions. It’s basically all set up and ready for Instagramming.

Location, location, location

The village can show off about its rather famous neighbours. Good-looking Lindos, topped with a mighty acropolis, and historic Rhodes are both within an hour’s drive. Alternatively, raise your sails and head over to the island of Simi, where a harbour decorated with colourful Neoclassical houses shouts “photograph me.”

Lardos nightlife

Nights out in Lardos play out across a dandelion seed-scattering of bars and tavernas. Modern music and the occasional disco battle it out against street musicians warbling traditional Greek songs on the main square. And the flashier nightlife of Lindos has got all of this and more. Karaoke sessions and thumping Greek dancing nights are a 15-minute taxi ride away.
