Moraitika holidays take you to a patch of Corfu with a primed-for-paddling beach. Plus, it's within daytripping distance of the island's capital.

East-coast Corfu

Moraitika’s quite the magnet for families. And that’s mostly down to its great scoop of sand-and-shingle shoreline. The water’s shallow enough for tots to paddle in. There are loads of loungers to flake out on. And, the watersports centre provides pedalos, jet-skis and scuba trips to spot Corfu’s underwater residents, who include starfish and seahorses.

Family-friendly food and drink

If you fancy straying from your hotel, you’ve got a good selection of restaurants to sink your teeth into. Most of them are geared up for families, and they dish up everything from fish and chips to feta cheese salads. As for drinks, colourful cocktails and ice-cold jugs of beer tend to be the tipples of choice around here.

Boutiques to baths

There are plenty of easy-to-reach places worthy of a daytrip from Moraitika. The island’s capital, Corfu Town, is 35 minutes’ drive down the road. It’s got boutique shops, bars, beaches and belltower-topped churches up its sleeve, to name just a few of its calling cards. Stick closer to home, and you’ve got the old village of Ano Moraitika, with its Roman bath ruins and top-notch views out across the bay.
