Holidays to Stalis promise long, laidback days on some of the best beaches Crete has to offer.

Hidden gem

This former fishing village is the sweet spot on the north coast of Crete, between lively Hersonissos on one side of the bay and party-central Malia on the other. There's plenty to see in this now-bustling town, but its biggest draw is the long, family-friendly beach.

Get the party started

A mere five minutes away by taxi, nearby Malia's where you can go clubbing until dawn. During the day, it's great for watersports or a traditional meal in a Greek taverna. If you want some low-key nightlife closer to home, Stalis has got its own Irish pub.

A bevy of beaches

Stalis Beach is around a five-minute walk from town and dotted with parasols and sunloungers. With local eateries flanking the shore, you won't have to wander too far to find your new favourite restaurant, bar or taverna. The strip merges into Zervas Beach, which has the same sloping sands and crystal-clear waters.
