Tragaki holidays move at such a relaxed pace, they're practically in reverse. And when you want to up your game, hit the gas and aim for nearby Zante Town.
Authentic Greece
Tragaki wrote, printed and published the book on away-from-it-all holidays. This dainty village is cosied into a hillside above Zante’s east coast, with olive groves, vineyards and open countryside boxing it in on all four sides. The town itself is a flower-draped jumble of shutter-fronted villas and family-run tavernas, where traditional Greek food’s the beginning, middle and end of every menu.
Easy-to-do daytrips
Getting out and about’s a doddle from Tragaki. The nearby Wet ‘n' Wild Water Village does exactly what it says on the tin, with enough slides and splash zones to fill a couple of trips. Tsilivi, meanwhile, ups the stakes with its own offering of sandy beaches and bars. And at the top of the don’t-miss list, you’ll find Zante Town. This popular resort’s the island’s capital, and boasts everything from artefact-rammed museums to long-standing castles.
