Wengen holidays offer chalet-style comforts and cosy relaxation spaces among some of the best slopes in Switzerland.

Wonderful Wengen

Near its busier neighbour Interlaken, Wengen's a timeless little village with Hollywood-famous views. A place where waterfalls and railroads dot the countryside, Wengen's a picture-perfect place to take in everything central Switzerland has to offer – from local cheeses and goulash to mountaintop adventures.

Versatile village

Winters come early here, but there are loads of cosy spots around town to warm up. Fill your boots at one of the relaxed bars and cafés serving upscale and homely European fare. Or, finish a hunt for handmade Swiss souvenirs with an unusually scenic round of minigolf.

Committed connections

For those keen to explore the whole Jungfrau region, the transport network is brilliantly linked and the system of mountain railways and cable cars run with clockwork efficiency. One view you won’t want to miss is from the Sphynx Observatory at the UNESCO-protected Jungfraujoch. Known as the Top of Europe, you reach it via Europe's highest railway station and observation point on the famous Jungfrau Railway.

Mountain country

Ascend Mannlichen by cable car, then ramble back down along a walking path for some of the best views in town. You can also hop on the trundling Jungfrau railway for a direct route to the famous Top of Europe and Sphinx Observatory.
