Head across to Kotor for the day
Bijela is something of a shrinking violet, especially when you compare it to Kotor, on the opposite side of the bay. This city’s good at everything – there’s old-school architecture in great nick, plus bars and shops cut from a modern cloth. Plus, no matter which way you choose to get there, the scenery’s excellent en route. Ferry crossings deliver views from the water, and the 45-minute drive around the shoreline will have you stopping at loads of beauty spots.
