Pick up Indian souvenirs at the beach-side shops
The shops along the beach sell locally produced lace handkerchiefs, straw hats and spices, and there’s some great handicrafts and jewellery at the Indian Arts Emporium in town. Further afield in Anjuna, about 40 minutes’ drive away, holidaymakers browse the 2,000 stalls for saris, spices and brassware at the famous Wednesday flea market.
