Take a tour of the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens

See the historical side to Fort Lauderdale with a trip to this almost-century-old house, which is tucked within 35 acres of tropical gardens. Once owned by a successful artist, it’s now a museum dedicated to art and history. Even if you’re not big on learning about the past, it’s worth a visit for the wildlife – parrots, squirrel monkeys and tortoises live within the grounds, and manatees often pop up in the estate’s canal.
