Spend a day at Nestor’s Palace

Few ruins have a starring role in literature. Nestor’s Palace – a remarkably-preserved, 3,330-year-old palace – was featured in Homer’s Odyssey, and the structure has retained much of its grandeur. Make sure to stop in the throne room, which is still kitted out with a pantry, sentry box and terracotta tub.
