The feast of the Virgin Mary
Across Greece, feasts dedicated to the Virgin Mary are standard procedure. There are celebrations of the conception, the annunciation and the nativity, to name a few. This one in Paxos is all about the assumption. It’s held in Gaios Bay, and people eat, drink and dance into the evening.
