Escape from it all on Playa Matapalo beach
Not many places offer up the kind of away-from-it-all seclusion as Playa Matapalo beach. But this long stretch of soft, pale sand is wonderfully relaxed. Just two hotels have real access to it so it tends to sidestep big crowds.
