• Planning your winter escape? We think you should consider the cool Canaries as your go-to destination. With the mercury still hitting up to 24 degrees in November and December, it’s the perfect place to keep your summer tan topped up.  Plus, there are tonnes of things to look forward to, here. Think family-friendly activities, national parks, architect-designed beaches, a lively party scene, and much more…

    Swap Majorca for Lanzarote

Majorca has always been a top choice when it comes to holidays with the brood in tow. It’s no wonder either – this Balearic beauty has some of the best Blue Flag beaches in Europe, laid-back resorts, and historic towns for you and the kids to explore, after all.

But if you fancy mixing it up, why not try Lanzarote, instead? With more than 300 volcanoes, gorgeous beaches, and tonnes of fun activities up its sleeve, the kids (and you) will never get bored here. And we think Costa Teguise meets the definition of family-friendly holidays. You’ll find it south east of the island, boasting five sandy beaches for you to pick from. And if you’ve got water babies in the family, reserve a fun-filled day at Aquapark. Here, you can look forward to plenty of racing slides, tubes, flumes, and rapids. And when it’s time for a breather, AKA parent pampering, there are plenty of comfy loungers for you to relax on, and shops and restaurants to keep you fuelled up.

    Swap Ibiza for Tenerife

Vacays in Ibiza are the ideal fit if you’re searching for lots of fun in the sun. It’s the home of clubbing, after all, thanks to its super-sized nightclubs, glamorous pool parties, and world-famous beach clubs that have been drawing in crowds since the 60s. And did we mention the Caribbean-like sunsets, too? Those molten-gold tinted snaps are a guaranteed way to give your mates FOMO.

Already been to the White Isle? If you’re nodding, why not spread your wings and go somewhere a bit different? You might be surprised to learn that Tenerife, AKA the star of the Canary Islands, is becoming increasingly more popular for its nightlife scene. Take Playa de las Americas, for example, where there’s a never-ending list of karaoke bars, cabaret joints, and buzzing nightclubs to fill up your evening itinerary. And when you feel like exploring during the daytime, you’ll have easy access to Mount Teide National Park, stylish Duke Beach, and Siam Park – which is the largest waterpark in Tenerife and the best in Europe, FYI.

    Swap Formentera for La Palma

The teeny island of Formentera could be right up your street if you’re looking for some much-needed R&R. The atmosphere here is much more laid back than Ibiza’s, with hiking trails and brightly-coloured hills being the main attractions to lure in the crowds. Plus, you must visit Formentera’s sleepy capital, Sant Francesc Xavier. This place boasts sun-kissed plazas, lined by white-washed buildings, quirky cafés, restaurants, and hippy-style boutiques, making it ideal for culture vultures.

You can expect similar vibes over in La Palma, too. This pint-sized island is also known as ‘the beautiful isle’ – and for good reason. It’s a mixture of volcanic scenery, with Blue Flag-stamped beaches, and cobbled towns all under one roof. This island is renowned for being the ‘greenest’ of the Canaries, thanks to its wealth of pine-covered forests, crater-like landscapes, and unusual rock formations, which all play a part in its UNESCO-protected status. Impressed? Better get booking, then…
