Are you browsing for a break? Fancy a hotel that keeps everyone entertained and active, caters for all the family, serves up gourmet dishes, and tops it all off with a generous dash of Turkish hospitality?
We reckon Rixos Premium Belek’s the one for you. Why? Let us explain…
If a fly-and-flop holiday’s not your bag, Rixos Premium Belek’s got you covered. The hotel puts on a free shuttle bus to the nearby Land of Legends theme park, and the journey only takes 15 minutes. It’s not just your transport that’s included – entry to the park’s covered, too. There’s no need to worry if you’ve got a bottomless appetite for adrenaline, you can visit the park as many times as you like during your stay. And, since the Land of Legends is Turkey’s biggest theme park, you might need to visit a few times to get the measure of it.
The park’s packed with rides for you to try. The Typhoon Coaster’s bound to get your heart pumping. This winding ride climbs to dizzying heights of 43 metres, and zooms along at 86 kilometres per hour. Or, you can plunge down the Challenger’s 78-metre drop slide. And, the Windstream’s a four-lane slide that’s perfect for racing.
For water babies
Are you a sucker for a swim? Well, you’ve got endless watery options to get stuck into at Rixos Premium Belek. For starters, the hotel’s set on its very own private beach. The sand unspools for 700 metres, leaving plenty of room for post-swim sunbathing – it’s actually Belek’s longest private beach. A splash in the sea isn’t all this place has to offer, either. The massive main pool runs alongside the beach, and it’s divided into three. One section’s just for grown-ups, and stays open around the clock. The second section has little ones covered, and the activity pool’s lively all day long. Little ones have a slide-featuring separate pool, too.
The Rixos Premium Belek puts on tonnes of activities for you to get involved in. On the chilled-out side, you’ve got the likes of Pilates, meditation, Tai Chi, and yoga. Head down to the beach, and you can even test your balancing skills and give specialist paddleboard yoga a go. Watersports, including parasailing sessions, are on offer too, as well as beach volleyball. Nordic Walking’s another fitness-focused, but slower-paced, option, which makes sure you get your fill of fresh air.
If you’re after something to get your heart pumping, you’ve got plenty of options. Why not go for a game of basketball, or a football match? Plus, you can join in with crossfit classes, TRX workouts, and you can even try pole dancing. Meanwhile, little ones can hop on the multi-coloured mini train which chugs around the grounds, and they have their own programme of activities to keep them busy. Painting, team sports, and specialist shows are all on the line-up.
Thanks to the hotel’s selection of seven restaurants, food fans are well and truly taken care of. The Turquoise Restaurant’s the main joint here, putting on a big buffet selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Midnight snacks are on the cards for night owls, too. On the à la carte front, you can pick between an Italian trattoria, a steakhouse, and a seafood restaurant for dinner.
Or, opt to eat like a local at A La Turca, which deals in traditional Turkish tastes. Meanwhile, La Maison keeps rumbling stomachs at bay throughout the day with its selection of snacks, and La Patisserie dishes up delicate pastries and coffee in the mornings, too. There’s even a specialist restaurant created with little ones in mind – the Yummy Restaurant serves up kid-friendly fare at lunchtime.
