The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.
From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in a 5 minutes.
Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.

2 outdoor pools
The 2 pools are set together on the sun terrace, surrounded by palm trees comfy loungers, with straw parasols to keep the sun at bay. The larger, curvy pool is ideal for everyone who wants to swim, splash about or just float in the sun, whilst the smaller, circular pool is ideal for the little ones.
This small friendly, heated pool provides some relieve for those who are not sun lovers, or for when the weather misbehaves. Loungers line the sides making this a good spot to chill for a while.
Monte Verde is open for breakfast and dinner, and offers a wide selection of tasty local and International cuisine.

Lovely clean apartments good size rooms. Would recommend. Good view and decent size balcony Enjoyed being near the old town which was great for eating out and sitting having a drink in the evening . Good to have choice of pools and no problems getting sun beds despite hotel/apartments being busy. Reception staff polite and helpful Enjoyed the organised barbeque held on the roof terrace Plenty of food choices and like the food unlimited wine or juices. The food was mediocre at the restaurant found nicer places at the old town including O Davids just up a side street off the main square and Liberty's for drinks, food was not good there. Weather was raining most of the time unfortunatelyMore

My Stay at Cerro Mar
I wasn't impressed with my greeting at the hotel. My daughter and her small young boys were put in a separate building to me and my husband even though we had booked together. I just wasn't impressed with the receptionists attitude as I was made to feel I had three heads at requesting we were put in the same building, I was told to come back tomorrow as there was nothing he could do, even though it was there mistake as it was clear they had messed the rooms up. Despite this we had a great time. The hotel is beautiful, the restaurant staff were wonderful. I was a little worried I hadn't read any reviews on the quality of the food, I didn't need to have worried because the food was lovely and great choice, My 2 and 4 year old grandsons always found something they liked which included the delightful puddings. The steps were ok, not great with a buggy but we managed to live the tale and we definitely needed the exercise to work off the great food. I would recommend this hotel. I get what people meant about booking through Thomson, there was a rep there most days and for me that adds value as I never saw my Jet2 rep at all.More

Very nice hotel
Cerro mar is a great place fantastic view . And modern up to date apartments . the spa is also very nice  we didnt use it but it looked nice . The town  down a steep hill though so if you are not able bodied its not really for you as you need to tackle the hill or the long flight of steps. We sorted our taxi before we left uk as this was a " Do it yourself holiday" we were met by yellowfish taxis in the airport easy  to see as there was about 20 drivers waiting for people and they were all in yellow shirts . Very organised company actually , spoke English , had a nice clean car with free wifi and gave us luggage labels, and on our way home they weighed our suitcases so we didnt have problems at the check inMore
spacious apartments but lacking ambience.
just returned from this apartment which is at the top of a steep hill in Albufeira Portugal.. To say I am exhausted is an understatement due to the 103 steps and very steep hill to reach our apartments at the top. Ok, in the day there is a shuttle bus every two hours but that stops at 5.30 after that you are on your own. It was a week with little sun and a lot of rain with zero activity to compensate in this large complex. The main bar lacked atmosphere and had a very cold feel to it. Only the world news channel to watch in the apartment itself due to non satellite tv in rooms which in the 21 century is unacceptable. No free WIFI which would have helped. The rooms although spotlessly clean lacked warmth due to its overhead lighting.but had excellent kitchen facilities. This apartment complex although only minutes away from the town is so high up on the hill that it is an ordeal to return to at night but ok if you are prepared to pay for taxis.. The resort itself is fantastic with the nights in the town exceptionally good for all ages. with first class restaurants and excellent free entertainment in the open air bars with still a good mix of ages in the resort for October.. Definitely not an old peoples resort at this time of year...More
Decent accomadation - but earplugs recommended!!
We had a ground floor apartment which was well appointed with a view of the sea which was needlessly obstructed by a high fence topped with barbed wire. The facilities are of good standard with everything (almost) you will need for a self catering holiday. Kitchen has decent cooker, hob and toaster as well as a fridge freezer which all looked brand new! Only gripe would be in bathroom which had no toilet roll holder or hooks for the towels. The light also worked via an IR sensor which often meant you were left in complete darkness mid shower! I think we also copped out on the location of our apartment (108) the outside of which seemed to be the focal point/ drop off for the maids. Result it could at times be quite noisy. This coupled with the incredibly annoying racket from the dragging of furniture in the rooms above us made me thankful that I had remembered my earplugs!! The public areas and pools (4 to choose from) were all of a good standard but water was a bit too cold for comfort for me.There is an indoor pool within spa (but you need to purchase a shower cap at 4 euros to use it). Water in Jacuzzi was also not hot enough. These apartments have a great location to access to the old town if you are mobile. The roads surrounding are very step and there are 100 steps to navigate down to the main square.More
