The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.
From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in 5 minutes.
Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.

2 outdoor pools
The two pools are set together on the sun terrace, surrounded by palm trees comfy loungers, with straw parasols to keep the sun at bay. The larger, curvy pool is ideal for everyone who wants to swim, splash about or just float in the sun, whilst the smaller, circular pool is ideal for the little ones.
This small friendly, heated pool provides some relieve for those who are not sun lovers, or for when the weather misbehaves. Loungers line the sides making this a good spot to chill for a while.
Monte Verde is open for breakfast and dinner, and offers a wide selection of tasty local and International cuisine.

Great place, relaxing
I stayed here with my girlfriend and her family. We weren't happy with the first room as it was on the ground and often felt we had no privacy, so the staff dealt with this and put us in a better room with a great view of Albufeira. I was already told about the steps that lead to the square etc. There was a slight problem with sunbeds, people often left their towels unattended which meant they were reserving sunbeds, which was banned, so the hotel folded the towels up and put them on one sunbed, you can't complain really, it was quite funny to see people complain as they had no leg to stand on. On a whole it was a great place with hard working staff with impeccable English, but my on criticism is the internet situation, don't bother with it, you honestly don't need it. I wasted about 40 euros on the Internet, I think they should make it free as literally everywhere else has it for free. More

Good location, friendly staff
We had a simple appartment overlooking a quiet street, the village en the sea below. Nice balcony. The washing and dishwashing machines were great. Good bathtub that quickly filled. Everything else was a bit old fashioned, and I wasnt a fan of the dusty blankets on the beds. More
Good large apartment
Stayed for one week in a 2 bed apartment room 111. Room was enormous you could have had 2 more double beds in there. Cleaned everyday and grounds well kept. Apartment block was a little sparse but overall quite good. Signs everywhere about not being allowed to reserve beds with towels but people took no notice. After waiting over an hour with no one arriving to take their place. Towels were soon removed. 10 mins walk from old town but only after 96 steps and a steep hill. Was ok for us but no good for less abled people so beware. Cerro Mar Gardens is where you book in and this was so much nicer. If you dont mind the hills, great place to stay..More

Great spacious apartment old town
Stayed for 2 weeks in the cerro mar atlantico block above the supermarket room 502. There are a number of blocks within the cerro mar complex and I feel Our stay was in the one that we had booked thought jet2 holidays, unlike a few other guests. The 1 bedroom apartment was very spacious with a separate kitchen with plenty of room and everything you needed including a large fridge freezer. Our view was amazing looking out to the sea and the pool. Not all apartments would have this view if you were on a lower floor. The apartment was spotless with the cleaner visiting daily, she was amazing and not intrusive if you were in the room. The pool was clean andthe temperature was just right, we only had a problem getting a sunbed on 1 day and we only reserved around 9.30ish. There was definitely enough room to add quite a few more sunbeds which I really think they should do. You can go to the other pools in the other blocks as well. We had the bbc on the roof terrace both Wednesday's we were there and with wine and live music included it was definitely worth the money, hence why we went back the 2nd week. Other than the sunbeds another improvement would be the wifi, which was extremely expensive and when paid for only 1 device could be on at any one time. I feel a 4* hotel should have wifi included. For these 2 reasons i have rated 4 rather than 5. We travelled with 2 children aged 5 and 7 and none of us found the steps a problem, we went up and down most days with very little moaning. There is a lidl and ALDI a little walk to the rear of the property lidl being the bigger and better of the 2 but further away. Recommend Algar experience for a dolphin watching and bbq trip amazing day (booked through hotel)More

Very nice spacious rooms with all the equipment you'd need including washing machine and dishwasher. Good choice in the restaurant - we stayed half board. Pool area and all communal areas kept clean and tidy. Good location but around 100 steps to the beach. Shame no free wifi anywhere.More
