The Cerro Mar Colina offers a choice of pools and a great line-up of activities, all topped off with sweeping views of Albufeira.
From its hillside position, this place comes with spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean and Albufeira’s terracotta-topped old town. You can walk to the sandy shoreline in a 5 minutes.
Interiors are lovely and bright, with whitewashed walls and plenty of sunlight that streams in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Apartments carry the white motif, too, and they’re finished with simple furniture and sun-trap balconies.

2 outdoor pools
The 2 pools are set together on the sun terrace, surrounded by palm trees comfy loungers, with straw parasols to keep the sun at bay. The larger, curvy pool is ideal for everyone who wants to swim, splash about or just float in the sun, whilst the smaller, circular pool is ideal for the little ones.
This small friendly, heated pool provides some relieve for those who are not sun lovers, or for when the weather misbehaves. Loungers line the sides making this a good spot to chill for a while.
Monte Verde is open for breakfast and dinner, and offers a wide selection of tasty local and International cuisine.

central and modern
We really enjoyed our second visit to these apartments, last time we were in Colina block, this time Atlantic View, both are very new and modern. Is worth requesting a higher floor with view of sea/old town. They cannot guarantee this but is worth asking, we had lovely view of old town. Apartments are clean, fresh and well equipped, spacious and we had a 1 bedroom. Near old town, very steep steps which were fine for us but maybe not the best if you have difficulty walking or young children and buggy's. Pools all very good and clean, choice of 4, we had one just outside our apartment. Never had a problem getting sunbed even part way through the day. receception polite and helpful and daily cleaning to a very good standard. Albufeira was loveky as always, plenty of good food and wine, lovely beach bar on sand at night is lovely. Only grumble is that pavements around all of albufeira not as clean as in the past, also the steps to the square - all need a good power hose. Best places to eat - O Penedo, La Fonte, El Rancho, Rocamar hotel bar is great for lunchtime snacks and drink at night with lovely views and great staff who always remember us. Also recommend new cafe on the cliff edge along the same road as Rocamar and O Penedo, lovely for lunch and view.More
Beautiful view and lovely apartment
Stayed here in April with a number of family. They were kind enough to put all our rooms together and I have to say, we had the nicest apartment I have ever stayed in! Not only was it modern but it had panoramic views of the resort and albuferia, our own terrace and our own sun beds. Looking to stay again in October and maybe next year for a cheap but wonderful break. Also,El rancho in the old town does the best steak!More

Great Holiday in Cerro Mar
Stayed here in June 2014 for one week. Was first time to travel abroad with our daughter aged 10 months old & Cerro Mar suited us well. These apartments are nice. Rooms spacious and quite modern. We were given a room in the block just across the street from the main hotel- wasnt a problem. Our block had its own pool and we had the use of all facilities in the main hotel across the street which includes a gym and an indoor pool. There is a shop just close to main reception, its a rip off compared to aldi/lidl etc but is handy for the basics. We made the trek over to aldi, about a 15 min walk but WELL worth it! you will actually see lidl first but aldi is just a bit further across the road from lidl and much much better. super super cheap and great fresh veg/bread selection. wine/beer v.cheap so great to go here and stock up! The steps down to main square were ok, we managed it with a buggy. bit of a pain but not too bad. My tips if you are travelling here are to pack some dishwasher tabs and also some laundry tabs as there was both washing machine and dishwasher in apartment, so pack a handful of these will save u buying large box. We used yellowfish transfer to get to and from airport- brilliant service, we didn't want to take a bus with the baby and this service was excellent. I would stay here againMore

Enjoyed our stay but a few reservations...
We had a very enjoyable stay here, we were lucky to be given one of the modern apartments in a block directly opposite the main hotel entrance. I didn't mind being in a separate block to the main hotel but on seeing other blocks I realised we could have been put in one much further away, there seems to be quite a few well spaced out. We had daily towel change and daily bed dressing but despite the modern kitchen we had no cloths to wipe our counter top/tables and the cleaning service did not extend to this so our sink and eating ares were grubby for the two weeks of our stay, something small but I have stayed in lower star rated apartments where you had your own sweeping brush, a few kitchen products, cloths etc.. Beds were hard but they always are in my experience and yes you can hear other residents in their apartments - again I feel this is standard in most places! No day or night time entertainment at the hotel/pool side, it's quite a formal place I felt and so the atmosphere wasn't as light as I would have liked. Pool bar food was quite nice, typical pizza's, chips, toasties etc.. not too expensive either. I liked the location very easy to walk into town, once the steps weren't an issue for you. I would say the Lidl is too far to walk in the day time heat or even if you have a few bags to carry so get a taxi! I missed being able to walk at my ease to a good supermarket I must say, there is a little shop by the hotel so you can pick up your basic stuff but at a higher price. I would stay here again, but I would only be happy to do so if I was guaranteed a modern apt with nice view etc.. the things that bothered me a bit would have bothered me more if we had an old fashioned apt way off up the hill out of touch from the hotel!More
Fabulous hotel-a must stay!
Just returned from 7 nights in this beautiful resort- we stayed in apartments opposite the hotel. I couldn't speak highly enough of it. 3 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool to chose from which are all fabulous. We has no problem with people hogging sun loungers with towels - the hotel has plenty of signs advising against it. The food is gorgeous and very reasonable for a 4star- 3 course meal for 2 & bottle wine for €48 in their restaurant. The town is only 10min walk- the steps back up to the hotel will lesson the guilt if you over indulge!! Excellent value for money- we'll definitely be returning to this hotelMore
