An adults-only pool and lots for kids gives this place a head start for families.
This large complex is made up of a main building and bungalows dotted across colourful gardens. Steps lead onto the little beach and, beyond, Altinkum is about 15 minutes’ walk away.
There’s a great pool scene here, with special mention going to the adults-only pool for its relaxed vibe. Littler guests are well catered for, too, with waterslides and a Thomson-run kids’ club.

Wouldn't go again.
I will first start with the good points of the holiday: The children had a good time and enjoyed the entertainment. The pool side entertain during the day was also acceptable, the staff always made sure people joined in and had a good time. The rooms were clean and so were the grounds. The views were lovely and the whole place was scenic, Now on to the bad points: Food was awful, the exact same every day and was often only luke warm. The bar staff were rude and small portions were always given out. The drinks were mediocre and weren't amazing tasting. Staff seem to have given up because we went two weeks before the end of season. The weather unfortunately was mostly bad which certainly isn't the fault of the resort however moving the "entertainment" (if you can call a bloke playing a guitar badly and singing out of tune entertainment) and kids entertainment inside of the lobby wasn't a very good idea, especially with the amount of people flocking in, there wasn't enough space never mind chairs for people to sit in! The service was extremely poor, no smiles, no helpfulness, and no manners, When it came to the bar the staff seemed tired and overworked, they refused to give anymore drinks once they emptied a bottle, instead of opening another one which should definitely be a policy in a 24 hour bar, right? Turkey is a beautiful place and so are the grounds of Palm Wings it's just a shame that there was a poor quality of service, laziness due to end of season, cold food and the very unentertaining entertainment, if it wasn't for these factors we would possibly think about returning and maybe recommending this place but that is just not the case.More

Beautiful & stunning grounds but oh so quiet!!!
Palm Wings is a beautiful place. The bungalow rooms located in the grounds are great and were perfect for our needs - very glad we were not based within the actual hotel as it is so far away from everything and the golf buggies that they provide to take you to reception and dinner etc are most definitely needed!!! We found the food was fine, plenty of choice for everyone's taste but would thoroughly recommend booking the Chinese, Curry & Italian - they were lovely and so much quieter than the main restaurant and not so much of a free for all!!! Both my boys had their hair cut and they were very good and I had manicure and pedicure and can recommend that too!! The entertainment left a lot to be desired but I guess that's individual preference. It was either too young or too boring for my 11 & 9 year olds. The location was our biggest bug bear!! We like to be in the thick of things and found this was just too far out and too quiet for us!! If you are looking for tranquil, clean, quiet family holiday - then I can wholeheartedly recommend.More

We went in September for a week. We had upgraded to a bungalow room and on arrival found we were in the hotel. Due to being so tired we passed out on the bed & were woken by a phonecall from staff about one hour later apologising & advising they were sending a bell boy to collect us and take us to a bungalow. The resort itself it very nice, clean, well maintained. Staff are always more than happy to oblige. What we did find odd is, you only get tea & coffee in your room the first day you arrive however we got a bottle of mineral water daily. The tea/coffee issue had never been the norm at any of the other 5 stars I have stayed at. The food was pretty much the same every day, and at lunch it seem to cater for the pizza, burger and kebab eating customers. Unlimited ice-cream but only vanilla & chocolate. Dessert trolley had a large selection everyday. You only get one visit to one A-la carte restaurant per week and there is a choice of three, again we found this unusual as everywhere else it's been one visit to each restaurant. It was okay, nice lay out & staff but the menu was limited and we was really looking forward to a delicious meal after the international buffet being so repetitive. Cocktail selection wasn't really a selection there was three if I remember correctly at the most, none of which we had ever heard off. The large pool was rowdy but I think we arrived the same time as your stereo typical Brits, who unfortunately didn't even utilise the pool but sat at the bar drinking copious amounts of alcohol and shouting at eachother. You do have the option of lazing about the relaxing pool however there was no one manning the bar or the bar in hotel reception. Perhaps because it was September and not considered high season. "Juice" was some sort of very sweet squash out of a machine that didn't get topped up regularly at the relaxing pool. Floors can be slippery particularly around the large pool but there mats and warning placards in place. Then you have the option of the beach where you have more civilised residents of the resort and it makes for a pleasant day in the sun. The bungalows are nice, clean with a great terrace. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin or perhaps we were the unfortunate ones who ended up with "Wayne & Waynetta" next door, so most nights they would wake us anytime between 3 - 6am coming in drunk and abusing eachother! This did become less and less as the week went on, probably due to the large amounts of alcohol they consumed 24/7 they lacked the energy to argue. The Spa is great, well priced when you compare with spa treatments in the UK however not all treatments on the list were available due to the time of year. If you take a walk out of the resort to the shopping centre, it does have a run down look about it and you will be met by numerous stray dogs. As for the shopping centre... There is an abundance of "genuine fake" Gucci, Michael kors, channel, nike, Superdry & abercrombie on the market and your usual holiday souvenirs but don't expect shops. On the whole I would say average due to the food & drinks so not so 5 star, however the hotel and all its grounds are lovely & there are plenty of facilities and entertainment, although we didn't hang around for much of it due the rowdy crowds that arrived from the UK at the same time. stayed here and had a fantastic holiday found the premium restaurants to be good but no real requirement to use them. Pools great for kids and the buffet bar near the sea excellent. Room sizes were generous and staff and kids animation team were brilliant. Having stayed in Turkey on numerous times I would come back to Palm Wings. Be aware I didn't think much of outside of the resort with tacky shops at the seafront but there was no real need to venture out from the resortMore

Hit and miss for us but overall a good hotel
There's so many great things about this hotel. We had a great time and met some lovely people. Staff were great with us. Especially the animation team, Engin the photographer and Sedat in the restaurant. The reception staff though were unhelpful and unfriendly. The hotel was very clean and has lots of great facilities but wasn't really suitable for us. We have a 4 year old girl and one two year old twins and I have to say, there were no facilities or activities for them, they weren't allowed in the kids club, the amphitheatre was too dangerous to take them in to and in general the hotel was pretty unsafe for them. We needed eyes in the back of our heads and couldn't relax 24/7. Couldn't lock the doors in the apartments and would wake up to find them wandering around outside. They could also escape through the balcony bars and the restaurant railings. The children's facilities was the main reason we chose this hotel. It would have been great if the kids were older but we found it just wasn't suitable for us. The park was badly located and poorly lit making it dangerous for them. The food was good. We enjoyed the a la carte restaurants and always found something nice for ourselves and the kids. Did become addicted to the pancakes. No dodgy stomachs. They could do with a better drinks service at meal times. Although, as long as Sedat was around, he looked after us. We enjoyed the local town and met some great local people there and didn't find the sellers too pushy. They were always friendly and polite with us. The pool was too cold to go in some days so we used the indoor pool. I would go back when the kids are older as we really enjoyed Turkey and the people there. The hotel has loads of plus points and a great beach and location. But not for young children and with a few tweaks here and there it could be really good.More
