An adults-only pool and lots for kids gives this place a head start for families.
This large complex is made up of a main building and bungalows dotted across colourful gardens. Steps lead onto the little beach and, beyond, Altinkum is about 15 minutes’ walk away.
There’s a great pool scene here, with special mention going to the adults-only pool for its relaxed vibe. Littler guests are well catered for, too, with waterslides and a Thomson-run kids’ club.

Second visit and deffently our last
After our first visit in June 2015, which I could not really fault as a family resort, I was persuaded to come back for a second family holiday 8 of us from 2 years old to 50+. I know we were a bit earlier this year and they had only been open for a couple of weeks prior to our stay, but we payed our money the same as last year (more this year) so should of received the same level of service but this year it fell well short of this. It all started off in reception at check in. The staff here were fine although very poor English for reception staff, but it was the reception manager he was as about as rude as he could be. The bell boys are great and very helpful and can can have a laugh and chat with them, they will also tell you any thing you want to know. The animation team were great same stuff as every where you go but they worked very hard and seemed to be happy in there work, all very enjoyable. The on site shops are not as over priced as you would expect although dearer than if you were to leave resort, the jewelry shop was very good just ask my missis. The bars were very hit and miss it just depended as to who was serving as to what you got. You could order 4 rum and cokes and every one would be different, we probably threw more away than we drunk. Having said that the bar staff worked hard and tried very hard. They do need more waiting on staff as the couple they had could not keep up so you had to queue to get your own drinks, not the end of the world I know but I don't want to spend half the night in a queue for drinks. The main buffet restaurant was terrible if you were after 8.30 for breakfast you had to queue 15 mins plus for a omelet and longer for pan cakes, the queue for the toaster could be as long if you wanted croissants good luck we didn't get any till day 3 but this was partly down to greedy idiots taking trayfuls at a time, then waiting for more to be cooked. At dinner time if you went between 7.30 and 9.00 you had to fight to get a table and queue for anything from the grill. If you did wait till after 9.00 then the choice of food was even less as they were running out. To top all that the noise was at times unbearable, also no where enough staff clearing and setting tables also not enough staff replenishing the food. The food also seemed very bland. As for the Ala carte restaurant the waiter although tried very hard could not cope with the workload put on him and the food was different to say the very least. The new Ala carte cafe (Italian themed) on the way down to the beach was very good. The rooms were excellent as last year, house keeping was faultless and very friendly. The pools and beach are great. In general still a good holiday but was let down by lack of staff, sub standard food and a idiot of a reception manager. If you are coming to Turkey get your Lira here at home we were getting the week before we came 3.8 to the pound over here 4.7 to the pound.More
Good for price
This hotel is really good for the price. There are a few faults but the positives far outweigh the negatives. The main pool is massive but with no easy access. The rooms are big too. The complex is on a hill so again not easily accessible. The food was plentiful but very repetitive. The hotel and grounds are very clean.any questions and I will answer truthfully More
FANTASTIC FAMILY HOLIDAY
We have just returned from a 14 night stay at Palm Wings as a party of 6 adults and 5 children. We have had the most amazing holiday, food was excellent, animation team were fabulous with the kids and adults, excellent value for money, couldnt ask for a better place to go with children, we will be returning next may for another fun filled holiday at Palm wings, We stayed in a bungalow which was ideal.More

Good and Bad.
Our party have recently returned from a ten day stay at The Palm Wings Beach Resort. We stayed from Monday the 9th of May, until Thursday the 19th of May 2016. Our party consisted of five adults and one seven month old baby. This was a holiday of very mixed feelings for our whole party, some good and some bad. I will try to give as much detail about the various things as I can in this review. THE TRANSFER - It takes about one hour, twenty five minutes from Bodrum airport to The Palm Wings, our transfer was made longer by an impromptu stop off roughly half way. This we feel, is not an official stop off arranged by our travel agents, as there was no mention of this when we booked this, and no mention of it from the rep at the airport. There were also no reps present on any of the coaches during this transfer. This is the first time we have experienced this on any holiday. THE LOCATION - When first arriving at the hotel, it appears as if it is in the middle of nowhere, but this is not the case. Some small shops and a couple of bars start just outside of the hotel boundary, but if you walk about another 15 minutes into Didim, then the main beach front shopping area starts. Without any stops, you can walk the full length of the beach front in about thirty minutes, but it took us about two hours as we stopped off in quite a few shops. This is a good experience, and I'd recommend it, but if you don't like being asked to go into every shop, bar or restaurant you pass, then either walk on the actual beach, or just avoid all together. THE HOTEL - The hotel is set within the most gorgeous, beautifully maintained grounds, in fact, the best grounds I've seen at any hotel I've stayed at, and they are a true credit to the ground maintenance team. It is set over quite a large area which spreads right to its own private beach and jetty area. The grounds contain the main reception area, a main building, a conference building, two pools, one main pool, and one adult only pool, a shopping centre, a large area covered by the bungalow rooms, a main restaurant, two snack bars and several a la carte restaurant areas. It is your average appearance hotel really, well kept and of average cleanliness. The main pool area is very, very, very loud though due to the music that the "entertainment" team play being stupidly, over the top loud, and dozens of screaming children and drunk adults. If you want peace and quiet, either visit the lovely private beach, or the adults only pool. If you are a no smoker, avoid this hotel as there are absolutely no, no smoking areas in the outside areas, and it becomes unbearable at times. Even if you go inside to try and get away from the smoke, due to the doors being left open, the smoke just blows in and gets at you there as well! THE ROOMS - Standard, good cleanliness (apart from the floor, we had to report this matter twice before it got a deep clean) cleaned every day with fresh towels and bottled fresh water delivered daily. Rooms contain small TV, safe, fridge, selection of toiletries and air conditioning. Basic, but bungalow rooms are quite spacious. If you need a cot, report it as soon as you check in, and keep an eye out for it coming, as they leave it outside and don't tell you. You have to lift it into the room yourselves as members of our party found out. If you want to feel safe leaving the room, then avoid the end rooms in the bungalows, as these only have an old fashioned chain to secure the rear patio style doors, as opposed to the more secure key lock type in the middle rooms, but according to the manager, all the locks are the same in every room, clear blatant lie. THE FOOD - Boring, repetitive, some tasteless and once it's gone, it's gone! Some of the food is okay, but does become like Groundhog Day as you tend to see the same mains and desserts day after day. On our first day, we saw people lining up ten minutes before the restaurant opened, we found out, this was because they never replenish food once it's been finished, so you need to get in there in early to avoid any disappointment. The soup was quite nice though! THE DRINK - Fine, soft drinks are perfectly good, and the alcoholic drinks are of decent strength, so on this point, I would have to disagree with earlier reviews claiming that they were weak. The red wine was okay, palatable, not the best, but far from the worse. Cocktails are chargable?? Very strange decision by the management, just make them with local alcohol instead of branded stuff, and create an included cocktail list. THE SERVICE - Waiter service in the main restaurant is overall poor. Sedat was the best waiter who speaks quite good English, and does everything he can to serve you, the other waiters struggle with even basic English, I'm still waiting for two cokes and a red wine that I ordered last Friday! English is an issue in this hotel, especially in reception, where I would of thought it should be at its best. We struggled getting answers on several occasions from reception, because they had to get someone else to understand our English. Overall, it is not that bad of a hotel, it is definitely not the five stars that they claim it is, nor is it the "4 T's" that Thomson claim it to be, it is three stars, three stars plus at very best. If it could just address a couple of flaws, then it would be a great hotel, in a good area. It needs to address the smoking issue, along with the cleanliness in the restaurant, table clothes should be changed daily, not just turned over and changed every other day! As it stands, I would not recommend this hotel to a friend, nor would I return, but I would reconsider this if these little problems were ironed out. Any further questions, just send a message and I will gladly answer. More
