An adults-only pool and lots for kids gives this place a head start for families.
This large complex is made up of a main building and bungalows dotted across colourful gardens. Steps lead onto the little beach and, beyond, Altinkum is about 15 minutes’ walk away.
There’s a great pool scene here, with special mention going to the adults-only pool for its relaxed vibe. Littler guests are well catered for, too, with waterslides and a Thomson-run kids’ club.

It is an amazing and beautiful hotel. The rooms are basic, but spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool area is large, with two swimming pools. The staff at the hotel, from reception to waiters are all very attentive, especially Sedat Tosun. The holiday on a whole was fantastic. :)More
Turkish new experience
It was my first time in Turkey (me 24y, mum and sister 17y). It was advised to me to go for at least 4 or 5star hotel and Palm Wings was an excellent choice. Hotel itself - large area, beautiful gardens, nice houses, clean cosy rooms. Private beach sufficient for the hotel clients when majority of clients is laying by the pool but I haven't found myself struggling to find my place at the beach. Food in the restaurant was always very tasty, delicious and always a huge variety. Cakes - good but too sweet but I guess it's Turkish baking style. Service in the food points (restaurants, snack bars,...) very good - best experience with Kubilay Sabanci, Sedat Tosun and all the guys working in the pool bar (Muhamad Oral,...). Animation team was cool, communicative but I found the programme to be boring, insufficient, the same activities every day. Allover, I would go to Palm Wings again with no hesitation.More

Good holiday, few things to be changed to make it an excellent holiday
Myself and my partner (25 & 30 years old couple) arrived at Palm Wings on the 1st September first thing in the morning. However, we were quickly checked in and escorted to our bungalow room on a golf buggy. Bungalows i'm told are a lot nicer than the hotel, and our bungalow was spacious and clean. The bed was a big double, however, we were provided with strange top sheets as bed covers that were uncomfortable and scratchy! But half way through our holiday we realised that we could pull the undersheets off of our un-used bunk beds also in the room, and we used them instead - much better and more comfortable, softer on skin that had spent too long in the sun! Our room was cleaned every day which was good, however the cleaning times were odd to say the least! After a long day sunbathing, we went back to our room at about 5.30 to find the cleaners there! An odd time to be cleaning when people want to go back to their rooms to shower and get ready for the evening if you ask me! We also saw cleaners knocking on peoples doors at 9am one day to start cleaning! We definitely wouldn't have been impressed with that! But other than that, they did a good job. Fresh bedding and towels were given and a bottle of water for the fridge. Air con made the room lovely and cool too. Shower leaked every time and we had to use most of our towels for the floor, but of course they were replaced the next day, so not a big issue, just be careful on the tiled floor!! The food was lovely, and we can't complain about it at all. There was everything you could want, lots of breakfast choices including salads, bread, cereals, cooked breakfast foods, brioche, and if you arrive for the early breakfast (between 9am-10am) you can also have an omlette cooked for you outside and squeeze your own fresh orange juice. Of course they dont serve pork, but didnt miss it if im honest. Lunch was also good, lots of salad bits, fresh fish, meats, bread, hot cooked meals etc. Dinner was fab, again the same selection or similar to lunch, with different cooked meals, people would also cook things for you outside, and the puddings were amazing, there were so many! We ate at 2 a la carte restaurants which were the fish and the Indian, both were nice, although the food wasn't much different to what you get at the main restaurant! But it was nice to be waited on, rather than being in a buffet environment for a change. Being there for 2 weeks, we started to get a little bored towards the end of our holiday, but its only a short 15 min walk to Altinkum main front where there's lots of restaurants to eat. We ate our twice and it was lovely both times. Inside the restaurant feels a bit 'canteen-like' with screaming children. We always sat at the back of the restaurant outside, which was a lot nicer and had lovely views. One complaint is that when sitting outside, you have to put something personal on your table to show you're sitting there if you're going back and forth to the restaurant. We put 2 full drinks and a plate of bread on our table a few times before going inside to get some mains, and we'd come back and our table had been cleared! this happened at least 3 times, until we realised that if I left a cardigan or a hat on the table it wouldn't be touched! A word of advise if anything else to outside diners! As a couple, the evenings were extremely boring, and we usually ended up going back to our bungalow at about 9.30! There was plenty of entertainment for families and young children, however the entertainment for the adults was severely lacking. All there was, was a man playing a guitar and singing most evenings. We went a couple of times to the 'entertainment' and we saw African dancers which was the best entertainment of our whole stay. The rest of the entertainment was abysmal. The magic show was ok, nothing amazing. And the comedy show was the most un-funny, strangest, disturbing thing i'd ever seen! And included 2 grown men in nappies, After 3 or 4 visits after the good African dancers show, we realised they were obviously on a tight budget out of season and resorted to trying to use their own staff for entertainment. Most of our evenings were spent in watching TV after that! We spent most of our days at the adult pool 'relax pool', a lot quieter and relaxing as a couple without children, but also spent a couple of days at the beach which was nice and clean and our last few days at the main pool. The adult pool was nice, however the drinks machines were either never stocked or didn't work properly, so it was a long old walk to the main pool for a drink of any kind. It could do with having someone serving there at a small bar too, which would make it a lot better experience. As being there as a couple, you felt a bit second best to the main pool with families. Overall it was a nice holiday, food was good and room was clean and tidy and quiet apart from rude neighbours. I'd recommend relax pool if you want to do just that, and the main pool if you are a family. The hotel is definitely more suited to families than couples, due to the lack of adult evening entertainment and lack of service at the adult only pool, as well as screaming children at breakfast, lunch and dinner! Surprising how many people take their kids out of school from the 1st-16th September! Would we return? probably not. Why? We would prefer a couples only holiday.More

Palm Wings Altinkum is fantastic!
One week was all I had but it wasn't enough! My family had visited Palm Wings last year so I joined them this year and I have to say it was a great experience. Being an early twenties female, I was aware that it was a family orientated hotel, but I must say all the kids were really well behaved and there was no problem with noise or anything. We spent all of our time in the same spot around the main pool and really enjoyed the entertainment there throughout the day. The animation team work really hard to get everybody involved in activities and actually take the time out to make their daily rounds of all the guests around the pool and at night. They actually sit and chat with you for 10 minutes or so and even come and join you for a meal in the restaurant (obviously if you want them to). I've never seen this before and it added a really personal touch to the team - unlike the English Thomson reps who you didn't see once!! As a young adult, the night time entertainment was a bit lacking, plenty of stuff for the kids to do and although there was a disco on 12-2am on a great location at the beach bar, away from all the guests - it wasn't used very much. This was probably because the majority of clientèle were families. Entertainment around the pool bar at night was pretty good before 12am - with live music and party dances with the turkish showing their moves performing their national dances. After 12, I tended to go into Altinkum town with friends I had made and the walk was around 15 minutes through busy streets. I felt completely safe at all times and didn't get pestered by anyone. I had a great time in the bars in Altinkum, they are mostly turkish people in them so it was really nice to experience a new culture. The staff at Palm Wings were absolutely fantastic, particularly the waiters, waitresses and barmen. Everyone was really friendly and looked after you so well and a lot spoke great English so you could have some banter with them! Sedat Tosun, Kubilay, Onur, Musti, Emre, Sevda and many others were so great with their service and me and my family have made quite a lot of turkish friends! Foodwise, the food was very good, but I am not a fussy eater...I will eat anything! I don't understand why people go to all inclusive resorts if they are fussy, stop complaining! There was a real mix of different cuisines, and there was a different theme every night e.g. Italian, English, Chinese but my favourite night was Turkish! Beautiful food. The bungalow we stayed in was perfect. Location was great, the room size was awesome and we had a seaview which was incredible to look out on. Only a short walk from the main pool, bar and restaurant. I would definitely book one of these bungalows again, the resort is huge and although they run a golf buggy bus service around - if you want to be in the middle of everything walking wise, I'd suggest a seaview bungalow. Altinkum itself is beautiful. Ventured into town for the shopping and the taxi service was really efficient and very cheap! Shopping was a great experience, we didn't get hassled unlike other countries we have been to and bartering with the shopkeepers was so much fun! We visited in early September, so the back end of the summer season and the temperature was just right - between 30-34 degrees and the pool was so refreshing! All in all this was a fantastic holiday. I don't understand people's complaints about children or families....it's a family holiday people, if you want a couples retreat look elsewhere and don't put negative reviews on here! Definitely going back :)More

Thank you justin! Animation team were amazing!!!
I haven't long been back from palm wings but I miss it so much already! Had to be the best holiday I've ever been on! All the staff were so lovely and friendly but the staff who stood out most for me were the animation team, especially justin and gizmo! Justin is the chief animator,he is such a lovely, funny and genuine person! He really made my holiday fun and became a good friend. Also his English was amazing making it easy to communicate with him. He is extremely good at his job and should be recognised for it! I want to say a huge thank you to Justin for making this holiday one to remember! The activities during the day around the pool were fun and a laugh to join in with and the entertainment in the evenings was so good, thanks to the animation team and gizmo the dj! I met some good friends on this holiday and I hope to be able to see them again. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone as I will certainly be looking looking into going back again!More
