Hotel Don Pancho

The Hotel Don Pancho is anchored one block from Levante Beach, with a clutch of bars, cafés and restaurants right outside. The centre of Benidorm is only 15 minutes’ walk away, too.

It’s not hard to see why this place bagged a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2014 – the staff get heaps of praise, there’s lots of entertainment, and its location puts bars, restaurants, and sands all on the doorstep.

Bedrooms here feature comfy beds and wooden furniture, with walls painted in a warm peach and white colour scheme. They all come with a balcony or terrace, too.

Well worth a visit

we went to Benidorm (1st timers) and stayed at the Don Pancho, although going through a referb next year (2015) hotel was well worth it. Staff very good, cleaning staff excellent, room although smallish, had everything you need. Food was plentiful and hot, somewhat predictable, we heard no complaints from anybody there.More

Always great experience

As usual, and this was our tenth time here, we have a great holiday. Hotel is well situated, spotlessly clean and staff are perfect. Our room, on 12th floor is one of the superior rooms and well worth the little extra you pay. Water, tea and coffee, wine on arrival with fruit etc. Bathrobes and slippers etc. These rooms are relatively newly refitted and comfortable. I would not book unless it was one of these superior rooms as the others are now well passed their best. Having said that the hotel closes for complete refurbishment next November so I guess all rooms will soon be upgraded. The staff are probably the best feature, reception, restaurant, everyone tries to help and be friendly. Like most hotels now you get free wifi in your room. Food is good, nothing special but certainly plenty of it and enjoyable, well suited to european tastes especially those from UK. If anything spoils the hotel its the lack of sufficient sunbathing space in mid season, so we never visit mid June to Mid Sept. April and May and Oct and Nov are good months, not too busy. This is your typical tourist resort and is far too busy and loud mid summer vut ideal for a spring and autumn break. This hotel is perfect for most of what Benidorm has to offer although if you want the pleasures of the old town bars rather than the new town its possibly a little far. Takes a good half hour to walk though taxis ar cheap enough. This hotel has setved us well for a number of years and we will be pleased to return on our next tr to Benidorm. We have usd other hotels from time to time and many are good but the Don Pancho does not cater for groups of men or women, hns or stags and the people who come here are generally older, quieter and more refined and thats the way we like it.More

Second visit 2014

My husband and I have recently returned from our second visit this year to the Don Pancho and again had a lovely holiday here. The reception, restaurant, bar, cleaning and maintenance staff do an excellent job in making this hotel our only choice of place to stay in Benidorm. On arrival, as this time we had booked our stay with Thomson's, we were allocated a standard room but offered the choice of an upgraded, refurbished room for €10 pppn which would have been an extra €140 for a week's stay - not worth it. Our standard room on the 9th floor was more than adequate ( powerful hairdryer in bathroom so no need to take your own but bedroom could do with more power sockets) although I understand that the hotel will be closing for refurbishment in November 2015 until approx April 2016 when all the rooms will then be of the upgraded type but hope this will not be reflected in an out of range price. In addition to room refurbishment, I was told that the restaurant, pool area and even the front of the hotel will be in the alteration programme. I hope that a combined larger pool is the plan with an extended seating area as that would definitely enhance the attraction of the hotel. Free pool towels, room fridge, wifi but chargeable safe. As always, we found the food quality and choice in the restaurant to be excellent and fail to understand any criticism in that direction and need to mention that the waiting staff do an excellent job. Lovely to have the British preference of back bacon at breakfast instead of the usual streaky version in most Spanish hotels. As the evening entertainment is more suitable to a much older clientele, my husband and I usually gave it a miss but wonder why the hotel doesn't book some of the excellent tribute acts in Benidorm such as Abba etc which would appeal to everyone and then we would be inclined to stay. Tip - charge drinks to your room bill as you get a cheaper rate than paying by cash. Location is also why we book this hotel as it's just one street back from the sea and every room has a sea view, it's close to bus stops, a Carrefour supermarket is just100mts left out of the hotel, it's close to shops, bars and restaurants. I found an excellent hairdresser this time - out of the hotel turn right to the 'Barrel', turn right and about 4 shops on the right - Albert & Frank - wash, cut and blow dry for €20.80. This hotel is very comfortable and a credit to all the staff who make us want to return.More

Another perfect holiday

Just returned from another great holiday at this amazing hotel. We go to the Pancho every October or 2 weeks and it gets better every time the staff treat you as family and are genuinely pleased to see you as we are them ( same staff for years ) . The hotel is immaculate and the food both tasty and a good variation . This year we had 14 days of sunshine and perfect temperature which enhanced the holiday. We swam every day in hotel pool walked miles and entertained our family in the hotel who loved it and were made very welcome. Look forward to our next visit .thank you all again.More
