The Hotel Don Pancho is anchored one block from Levante Beach, with a clutch of bars and restaurants right outside. The centre of Benidorm is only 15 minutes’ walk away, too.
It’s not hard to see why this place bagged a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in 2013 – it’s got a good-sized pool, lots of entertainment, and a location that puts bars, restaurants, and sands all on the doorstep.
Bedrooms here feature comfy beds and wooden furniture, with walls painted in a warm peach and white colour scheme. They all come with a balcony or terrace, too.

SIMPLY THE BEST (again)!!!
Sorry this review is a bit late but visited the Don Pancho again for the 3rd year running for 2 weeks in July. I travelled this year with my husband and two children (21 & 19) so a lovely family holiday. Once again, we were greeted by the hotel reception staff as if we'd never been away - they knew who we were and we had a hassle free, quick check-in. I had specially requested certain room no's and extras in the room, which were met without question. The reception staff remained professional, helpful and friendly throughout the entire visit so special thanks go to Carmen, Alex, Raymond, Lola and anyone else I've missed. As per previous reviews by other guests some of the rooms have been upgraded but I specially requested the older style rooms on the 14th floor as they are lovely and adequate enough for the stay. We were welcomed with a complimentary bowl of fruit and water when we arrived in the room and I understand the hotel now offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms, which wasn't the case when we stayed so an added bonus. I know having no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms can be a downside for some but I was happy to pay for a coffee at the reception bar and take it up to the room of an evening when returning. The maids work endlessly to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and this is apparent with fresh towels, beds changed regularly and the whole hotel being of an exceptionally high standard. As with reception when we made our first visit to the restaurant we were greeted by friendly faces who we had seen the previous 2 years. The level of service & quality of food was again excellent and faultless. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our meals and service and as it was my daughter's 19th birthday they made her feel exceptionally special by surprising her with a personalised cake and a bottle of champagne (2 nights running!) - we were even able to decorate table slightly. So, special thanks go to Felipe, Javier, MariCarmen, Isabel, Jose, Karina, Manuel, Nomi amongst the many others. Daytimes were spent relaxing by the pool and although I am one of the guilty early risers to save a particular sunbed you can generally find a bed by the pool during the day. We were pleased to see David still monitoring the pool/terrace area as he is such a lovely guy so please take the time out to talk to him. The pool bar staff were also very familiar faces and we were treated like special guests. Special thanks go to Lute, Alfonso, Felix, Quintento, JR Martinez, JoseAlberto and anyone I've missed. We didn't visit the entertainment area as there is so much going on outside to keep you busy, tribute acts, comedians, non-tribute acts, sports bars, etc. that you will never get bored. The location of the hotel is perfect for the beach, Old Town & entertainment. I know that Thomson arrange trips but we didn't go on any. We didn't have the need to meet the Thomson rep, Sid but from what I saw he does an excellent job. We did need to hire a mobility scooter this year so I highly recommend ADA Scooters located approx. 5 min walk from the hotel. There are lots of hire shops around so I can't speak for those but we had no problems with ADA. The hotel also offers a 'park & charge' secure area for the scooters which is easily accessed near the front entrance and is linked to your room pass - so easy just to park up and plug in (there is no extra cost for this). So, once again, I have rambled on with my review and there's so much more I could say but in short....... Yes, it caters for the more mature client, which is nice if you don't want loads of kids running around There aren't any hen/stag parties There's a mix of old/new rooms - old is still good Its location is excellent for all reasons ALL staff are friendly and helpful It would be a silly question to ask if I'd go back and I could never envisage going anywhere else, whilst the Don Pancho remains as it is. Health permitting we look forward to seeing you again next year (this year if I could have my way!). Finally..... PRO'S - EVERYTHING CON'S - NOTHINGMore

Had a great holiday once again at the don pancho been going there for many years. But very disappointed had to pay extra for a room that had been refurbished. Much to expensive at 20 euros per night. Rooms needed refurbishing but I don't think customers should be paying for this. Also entertainment is mainly focused on Spanish clientele, or Spanish from outside of hotel. Maybe time for a change of hotel. But have booked again for sept. Also the hotel management do not seem to care to much about loyal returning clients.Sept will be my 3rd visit this year, but still have problems requesting in advance for a particular floorMore

Very nice hotel. Good food and room OK. Be careful when you pay your bar bill. My credit card was compromised after paying my bill (only time it has been used for many weeks). Someone used my details to insure all 3 cars.More
