A nice hotel
Our family of four just returned from our first visit to Benidorm. We requested two rooms together as they do not have family rooms however, we did have to wait an hour for the second room to be cleaned but this wasn't a problem. We discovered the end room to be larger than the one next to it and from the hotel plan the middle rooms seem to be substantially larger also. Another difference between the two rooms was that the one TV had a variety of English channels unlike the other which was all in Spanish. The room itself was clean and functional but obviously needs updating which is happening later this year. The view from the balcony was lovely as all rooms have sea view. Next the food, a great selection each meal time to cater for all. We especially loved the traditional Spanish tapas (Parma ham) and paella. The champagne breakfast and Galla night was a special touch that made our holiday that big more glamorous. My only complaint about the food is that we saw shepherds pie and steak and kidney pie twice at dinner within the week. I understand these dishes to be popular with older people however, I think there should be different dishes on all seven days of the week. Alternatives could be chicken and mushroom pie, spaghetti bolognese and a curry as these are also traditional. The pool is quite small but served its purpose as I understand children are only allowed to this hotel during July and August. Adaptions to make it more child friendly would perhaps not be worth it as it is more suited to older people. But it was nice not to have hundreds of children in the hotel like other hotels in the area which cater more for children. I strongly believe a daily activities such as Aqua aerobics, darts, archery, bowls, yoga, light exercise classes etc would be an extra addition to the hotel and would cater for all generations as it is important for everyone to move and be active while on holiday and can also be a lot of fun. Even if this just happened during summer months. One morning we fancied a lie in so locked the door from the inside as not to be disturbed by the maid. It seemed the maid did not understand why she could not get into our room so informed the hotel maintenance who decided to start kicking at our door at 10am. Not only was this frightening but there were no voices or calling us to warn us. After answering the door to the loud kicks there was no explanation or apology which I found quite rude. This experience startled me so we ensured we left our room by 9.30 every morning. The one night we all heard an alam go off at 4am with again no explanation to this awakening. A note explaining it under our door would have been polite. I think communication between the hotel and its residents is lacking. We didn't watch the entertainment as it was targeted at an older generation which I was disappointed with however, there was lots outside of the hotel. The hotel lies in a great location in the centre of everything with great bus links. I believe this hotel will improve when its renovation is complete. More
An amazing stay
An amazing stay! We stayed for ten nights Half Board and we definitely did not need all inclusive, you had so much choice of food to eat, as vegetarians there was lodes of options for us. The pool was clean with deck chairs all around the pool area. Outside the hotel the is a zebra crossing, this came in handy. I would definitely recommend this Hotel for everybody.More

Don Pancho revisited
have been home a week after staying at Don Pancho for 14 nights, Aug 8th / 22nd cannot fault this hotel at all, rooms cleaned daily, towels change dally, we arrived about 3-30 am and were allocated the same room we had last year (as requested via e-mail) by an efficient and friendly member of staff on reception. Restaurant is excellent, presentation of food is first class and well prepared, there is so many varied dishes to choose from be it breakfast or evening meal, ( we were h/b) so well done to chefs. After our evening meal we spent an hour or so in the card table lounge, very relaxing before heading out for the night. The pool area is now monitored by Monika ,who will remove any towels or belongings from sunbeds that have not been occupied for one hour, considering the location of this hotel, one road back from the prom. and close to some noisy bars it is very quiet at night. Thanks also to Ray who attended our table most meal times, Our pick up time was 11-30pm on the Saturday night, and we had to vacate our room at 12 noon, but Don Pancho still allowed us use of all hotel facilities and even gave us a room where we could have a shower and change before being picked up, a sign of a first class hotel I think. have stayed in lots of apartments and hotels in Benidorm and this is the best.More

look no further you have found the best Hotel in Benidorm!
1st time staying at the Don Pancho and it will most definatley not be the last! Brilliant hotel, 2 minutes from the beach and lots of shops and places to eat, not that we needed them as the food at Don Pancho is second to none! beautiful fresh food every night and the restaurant staff, particularly Fillipe and Ray, make it a wonderful experience. The bedrooms are incredible, cleaned every day, and every room has a sea facing view. The card keys are easy to use and also opens the safety deposit box for convenience. every night there is different entertainment and the table service makes it that extra bit special. Ready to book for next year, excited to see the refurbishment and the friendly staff again!More
