A great location and a huge pool keep guests returning to the Bitzaro year after year.
The hotel’s on the outskirts of Kalamaki, just 5 minutes’ walk into town and double that to the soft-sand beach. Keep an eye out for loggerhead turtles - the sands are their nesting turf.
At the hotel, there’s a huge pool and a big buffet restaurant that serves up a real mix of dishes. There's also a decent portfolio of activities and entertainment.

I have just recently returned from a two week stay at the Bitzaro Grande Hotel on Zante on an all inclusive basis ,I must say that this Hotel does not dissapoint on any detail , All area's are kept scrupulesly clean,The rooms are also well cleaned and maintained we where upgraded to a suite which was far bigger the our needs but was very much appreciated, we did have issues with a TV not working correctly and a flooding bathroom when the shower was used both these issues where resolved very fast and efficiently to our satisfaction. The Restuarant is light and airy and the choice and quality of the food is excelant always being hot and constantly being replenished and the staff very attentive in fact all of the staff without exception are brilliant nothing is too much trouble in fact many remember your name and your regular orders , The hotel is situated approx 100mtrs down a side road from the end of the main resort street and 600mts from the Beech which is well worth a visit we actualy watched the volunteers opening up a Turtle nest to log the outcome of the hatchings that had taken place a few days before only to find 3 baby turtles that had failed to dig themselves out and we where able to see them guide to the sea and hopefully survive This Hotel is situated close to the airport as all the brochures highlight but we did not find this a problem when you are by the pool you do see the plane very low coming into land but they are not over the Hotel and not very noisy it is only if the wind changes and they take off in the opposit direction there is noise but this only happend one day out of fourteen and did not bother us at all. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone and they seem to have a large number of returning guestsMore

Have just returned from visit number 4 to this wonderful family run family oriented hotel. 31 minutes from landing to picking up our key to a room we specified in advance. The welcome was warm from the attentive but discreet staff both old and new. The room overlooking the pool on the top floor was clean throughout and smelled fresh despite it being the the last week of the season. Despite the minor problems replacing the fantastic chef Eric the food all week to be brutally honest was even better. Breakfast to suit all tastes, snacks from the pool bar, lunch and finally dinner were fabulous and fresh. The bar offers all local drinks including beer and surprisingly good locall wine. Entertainment provided by Tom and his team was perhaps a little limited but still provided hours our harmless fun for the majority both young and old as well as being suitable for our many friends from outside the UK. The limitations I would suggest were due to the time of year. You may think, having read some scathing reviews both here and on Facebook, the Bitzaro is not so good but please take it from a cynic like me that it is a great place to go to relax, unwind and leave the troubles of life behind you for a while. If you want 18-30,British caravan park or 7 star this is not for you. It just a fabulous friendly place to embrace all that is good about the Greek way of life. Try it yourselves. You may even enjoy it. We'll be back next year for a fifth time. More

Just as good as the reviews say
I have never been abroad and this being my first time, it couldn't have been better. Usually photos make places look better than they actually are but with the Bitzaro this isn't the case. It is a lovely hotel, staff are fantastic and go that extra mile to make you feel welcomed and at ease. A wide range of food and choice, activities throughout the day and they even offer their own day trips (which are cheaper than the holiday rep excursions and we had a fantastic couple of days!). I would highly recommend this hotel. There are no comparisons! Fantastic. More
This was one of our best holidays. The staff at the hotel were brilliant, very friendly and helpful, in a way that made you feel welcome. The food was excellent, with more than one choice for vegetarians as well. The entertainment staff did an excellent job and I would definitely recommend Tom's island tour - it was a perfect way to see the best bits of the island.More
