This hotel has plenty of pool space, and puts the beach and bars within easy reach.
They’ve really gone to town with the pools at this place – there are ones with a mountain backdrop, an adults-only number, and lots of little sections for kids. You’ve also got the pick of 2 restaurants.
The hotel is in a great position right by a sand-and-shingle beach, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk. And there’s a free shuttle bus to the famous Blue Lagoon.

Stayed here from 11/08/14 for 2 weeks and had a great time.Reception were friendly and the lad who showed us to our room was too.Room 6404 overlooking the activity pool was good.Cleaned every day and the maid always said hello. Was a little small with 4 of us but you only sleep and wash there don't you!Only thing we would have changed was to be on the middle or top floor as your looking level at the pool on the bottom floor.BathRoom had a hairdryer, handwash and showergel supplied. Pools were clean and even if the mrs didn't put towels out about 8am, there were always a few about empty even though for the 1st week it was busy. The 2nd week was quieter as the russians and poles seemed to dissapear. The slide shuts over lunch and then at 5pm.There was a lot of cheeky turk kids who would push past but thats what turks do wherever i've been in turkey so just lived with it.Why let it spoil your day.The only thing with the pool was it could do with a proper machine clean around the sunbed areas at night. Entertainment team were spot on.Cheers ozzy and the rest. They ask you if you want to join in but leave you alone if you don't. The food was what you'd expect at all inclusive.Fish, chicken, meats, salads etc.Not fantastic but not rubbish.I ate well.Again lack of drink selection at breakfast but there is a fridge in your room. Most staff were friendly, some just did there job.Never had a problem. Efes and soft drinks served outside were in plastic cups. All inclusive finishes at 11pm but if busy the manager said they should serve drinks till 11:30pm. Cawa Cawa at the front of the hotel is highly recommended for food and drink. The staff were brilliant as well and friendly.Spent quite a bit there as it was very wecoming.Cheers guys. All in all a great place and a beautiful place to visit. The hotel grounds were really nice and the area is stunning. Met some brilliant people there and we are all planning on going again next year as we had such a good time.More
Just returned from this lovely resort, couldn't of gone to a more friendly hotel the staff were always happy and helpful in particular the young lads ie denis and okan although a couple of the older staff could be more respectful to the teenage girls. The entertainment staff ie aussie and becky were great fun and always had good shows on for everyone to get involved. The place its self was stunning with amazing views of the mountains. Perfect location, 5 minute walk to town with plenty of bars and restaurants. Always a great selection of food although theres not the greatest selection of drinks at breakfast. Overall had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return. More

We arrived as a family in the early hours. The receptionist was very accommodating and polite. You have one of our new family rooms she said, I was chuffed to bits having read some reviews on the older rooms. Our suitcases were taken to the room, on entry to the room 6104 there was an whelming smell of dampness. Everything we touched felt damp and wet. Not sure what to do and with it being early hours we decided to go to sleep for the kids sake and review the situation in the morning. That night I slept with my own dressing gown under my head, fresh laundered smell was comforting. In the morning we went for breakfast, firstly the tables were in plenty however the turn around of these was very slack. Throughout our stay we were constantly faced with dirty tables lack of cutlery, glasses and sometimes plates. Service from the waiters was poor unless of course your Turk. I asked Denis for a some cutlery and some glasses with water. He replied in a minute, 15 minutes or so later and after seeing him chat away to some girls I decided to go and get my own. This was the theme throughout our stay. Rooms: We had a new one, this was just a room with a smell however it lacked imagination, odd height furniture and kid bunk beds. bathroom was small but adequate. Food quality: I have experienced much worst elsewhere, the meat cuts were of a good quality and cooked properly so no complaints there if you don't mind having to constantly queue. Its canteen fodder when you go all inclusive that's face it. Biggest let down for my kids that is they did not like the desserts and the ice cream was only available at lunch time ONLY, big fail!!! Drinks & quality: The beer is Efes and again good quality (not watered down) Wine is okayish weâre not in Italy. Cocktails almost no existent, only available 7.30-8.30pm and premixed not from the list on bar, they are an extra charge. Spirits etc... I every time I asked for one I was told I had to pay extra (not all inclusive right now), when I asked what time was inclusive I got a different response each time I asked. Waiters: As I mentioned earlier if you are a Turk no problems, if however your not and British and in particular a kid you will be ignored by the barman. A group of british kids including my own had been missing for a while having gone for a drink form the pool bar. Concerned why it was taking so long I went over to find one of the fathers asking the barman why he is ignoring the kids who have been waiting patiently to be served (he had been observing the situation for a while). This again was a common theme. Gardens: Are beautiful and well kept, a credit to the garden staff who mostly had a smile when you came across them. A great asset to the hotel. Maids: Seem pleasant enough however day 3 you can see how your room is made up everyday (or not in our case-see photo) this is not the way to get tip now is it. Location: is fab, this is it most redeeming feature, right on the pebbly beach not to far from the blue lagoon. the whole area is stunning. The strip is moments away with the restaurant, bars and shops. Pools and staffing issues: Pools are well maintained, however this is where we had our biggest issues. While we were there there was a large group Turkish family whose kids aging between 3 to about 17 yrs were causing major issues with the other guests children. They basically were left to their own devices causing havoc bumping into kids hurting them on and round the pool slide. No consideration given to anyone on the slide they would come down altogether before the previous person had reached the bottom of the slide. This resulted in many children being hurt and pushed under the water particularly the younger ones. When you asked if they could just be a little no careful they laughed in your face literally said they didnât speak English and carried on regardless. Frustrations were high, enough was enough for a British guest and this led to altercations between a British and the Turks, the situation became tense and security and the Guest Relations Manager was called in (not what you want on holiday but needless to nothing had been done). An incident followed only days after when my own daughter was pushed and elbowed the the face by one of these brats. This incident was caused by the pool slide being turned on after lunch but the gate had not been unlocked. All the british kids were waiting patiently for the gate to be unlocked however the turks started climbing up the slide, over the gate behaving feral. My daughter came over in tears having been elbowed in the face. I went to complain the Guest Relations Manager myself as I to had enough by this point. I told him the gate had not been opened, the kids were climbing and an serious accident is about to happen if noting was done. His response was to ignore me and walk away to the slide and open it, at this point he could see how they were behaving yet said nothing to them, he did not even ask if my daughter was okay or arrange for primary first aid being hit in the face. I had to go and get ice from the bar to put on her face. Moments after one of the older turk kids 17yrs or so said to my 8yrs daughter old she looked beautiful this obviously was in response to the swollen cheekbone one of these brats had give her. He did not follow up on this situation or even speak to the families involved. However a fews days later after the turks had vacated he came over to have ago at the british kids for one of them going down the slide on a lylo!!! No courtesy room available for late checkout unless you pay 100TL for a âshowerâ we opted to use the Turkish bath showers for free. Quite frankly I wouldnât bath a dog in there. The smell of urine was over whelming, black algae all round the shower basin and you can not close the female door kept swinging open. Floor was flooded with water no, towels. The lighting was dark, blue and reminiscent of a dungeon this doesnât really hide the the filth very well but does mask it slightly ehh!. I quickly got my 8 daughter dressed as she had already taken her swimsuit off while holding the door shut so the male workers could not see her as they walked past. I on the other hand went back to the swimming pool shower and got dressed in the tiny cabinet next to it. I couldnât believe what was offered. Not really 4 star even by Turkish terms. On the whole, despite this hotel Olu Deniz is really beautiful and most people we encountered were pleasant and friendly. We met some good Brits also and the kids all had a good time. We had a good holiday just a few unexpected hiccups. I really rate Turkey and it people just not this hotel.More
