This is an all-rounder of a place, with swimming pools, a sea-view restaurant and a lively cocktail bar.
This family-owned hotel is in a great spot. It’s less than 10 minutes from a sandy beach, as well as lots of bars and restaurants. Buses outside go to Lindos and Rhodes Town – and there’s even a free one to Faliraki waterpark.
Of the quartet of pools, one has a water feature while another has a little sprinkler for children. A poolside bar serves snacks by day and entertainment by night, while the restaurant does a great line in Greek classics.

Great place to relax
This was my first visit to Pefkos and to this Hotel and I was not disappointed with either. The staff were very friendly and what really impressed me was that out self catering apartment was cleaned every day and the bed sheets changed daily. The setting of the Hotel is ideal and although the apartments are on different levels in the grounds, there is a lift to help those who might find walking up slopes difficult. I would suggest that if you want an apartment that does not incur walking, you phone the hotel to request. Staff at the poolside bar are very friendly and helpful and the associated restuarants are excellent i.e. Nostalga. Pefkos itself is a relaxing place with a lovely small main beach but it could do with more shops. Restuarants are plenty and of good quality. There are good transport links to Lindos and Rhodes Town with bus fares being very cheap. The only complaint I have is that we arrived at the Hotel at 1am after a long day travelling and there was nothing open in order to buy water or other necessary items. It would have been helpful if every apartment were given basic items such as water and/or milk as I imagine if you had small children, it would be difficult to wait until morning.More
Amazing place to relax
I stayed in the Studio accommodation. It was basic and clean. (they didn't provide you with washing up liquid or sponge, however you could buy this as the local shop) All the pans and plates, cups ect were clean. Nice outside area to sit and eat. I enjoyed it because it was simple and hassle free. I didnt spend much time in the room, you are able to sit and relax all day by the pool. But the hotel is a short walk to the beach also very lovely. The hotel staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Bar and restaurant staff very friendly and made you feel relaxed and safe. My overall experience here was really good and i would recommend it to family and friends. Its a beautiful escape.More
Very nice. Could be better.
This was our second visit to this hotel we last stayed here 3 years ago and enjoyed it so thought we should try it again we were self catering last time but half board this time the breakfasts were amazing in the pool bar served by Louise and christos who were so nice and helpfull . Evening meal was very busy with people from outside the hotel coming in for meals aswell and as mentioned by other reviews you felt like you were second class having said that the food was amazing and we were looked after well by Michael christos and Louise who we will miss . We didn't drink in the hotel we spent most of the time in jasmine bar down the road where we were looked after well by the family owners and great staff who we consider friends costa is great we had a good laugh with him All in all we would return one day . We stayed August 27 to 10 September in room 521.More

Love this place
3rd time at Pefkos Beach Hotel, though last was in 2010, arrived 27 August at around 10 pm check in perfect, took less than 5 mins, we were in room 127 self catering, near the top of the hill. Aircon 110 euros for 2 weeks which was well worth it, room was freezing after an hour or two, didnt bother with a safe. Huge balcony though half was looking at solar panels the other half had a view down to the sea, had full sun from around 11am to sundown. The staff really make this place, we were recognised even after a 4 year gap by Costa in the top pool bar and Andy. Most of them go out of their way to speak to you. Used the little funicular tram thing to get up the hill most times as that heat was a killer, we normally go 2 or 3 weeks later and the temperature difference this time was quite noticable. Room cleaned every day, except Sundays, maid arrived between 11 and 12 so no rush to get up, beds on the hard side but i like that. Shower pressure was weak after being used to a power shower at home but it did the job. Food in Pool Bar and the Palm bar was good, quite a few veggie options, Nostalgia on-site restaurant was excellent, we didnt try it first two times we went in 09/10 as theres so many other options we never got round to it. Enigma, Artemis and Hellas all excellent too. Handy little takeaway, P&G I think, if you skip a meal and end up having a few too many in the Rock Bar (where we were also recognised - makes me wonder what we did last time...) La Piazza pizzas best we've had outside of Italy. Lee Beach cafe and Peoples Bar both do excellent lunches. Trips: we'd done a fair few of them before so only went to Rhodes Town (beware the annoying time share sellers, and be careful you dont ask for a large beer in some bars or you might get a 4 litre boot of beer) and Halki island, which was a long day but is beautiful, but this is about the hotel so i digress. Both booked at Lindos travel on the main road Downsides: not many - the towel/sunbed thing was a bit annoying, we spent one day by the pool in the first week and a few beds had towels on them and never once had a person on the towel despite the notices that they would be removed (this is an all-English Thomson only hotel so don't go blaming the Germans this time) The day we went to Halki we were picked up at 7.30am and there were at least half the beds at the bottom pool taken by towels and no-one by pool or having breakfast - thats just selfish. Situation was much different second week - loads of free beds. If, and probably when, whe go back to Rhodes will definitely be going back here.More

Reality bites back
Having previously reviewed this Hotel- positively for the most part- it really saddens me to echo some of the concerns raised in other current reviews. I should stress that this hotel has fantastic views and polite and helpful staff are the norm (with the odd exception). The food is still very good - though I agree there needs be healthier options available on the breakfast menu, and if I see another sausage I will be sick. Again, there is the criticism as regards the Half-Board patrons being made to feel almost second class in the excellent restaurant; and, my opinion is that they should be offered exactly the same menu as those people who are buying their food separate to paying for their accommodation. We only go half board because we know that this is good food (and we cannot be bothered going from one place to another, though there is ample choice of restaurants in Pefkos). It is embarrassing when they remove the general menu and then bring back a Half-Board menu which is not as extensive (even though it does offer a pretty good choice). And I am tired of hearing "if you have starter, then you can only have one scoop (of ice-cream) for desert." The main problem here is the bed - it is pretty close to a medieval instrument of torture, and sleep only comes after half a bottle of spirits or six days of being awake through 24 hours. I do thank Yanis for trying to help - by putting blankets under our flat sheet- but really the owner could do so much better and buy new mattresses. Ours were well past their best - and sadly I found mine stained quite badly. The mattress protector was essentially a hessian sack, and the bed frame was just that (with no real support). The view from the room was excellent. The room itself was pretty good - in terms of state of decor, which is a bit dated, but there was a relatively new fridge freezer (though no microwave) and the hob (immediately adjacent the drainer?!) was very clean. The cutlery and utensils - including cups and saucers, and glasses- were very clean. I do not agree that the place is dirty- though this year the standard of cleaning was a little short of what we have found on previous stays; but, I found the cleaner polite and friendly (even though in English she told me she did not speak English, when I pointed out the stained mattress). Don't be put off by the negatives - just take something to cushion the hard beds- such as mattress topper. Air conditioning at fifty five euros a week! Well, this year we did without because it is hard times for us. But it was close to unbearable at times - even though we had out balcony window-door wide open. You can do that here, because the mossies generally leave you alone (but take the adapter plugs and the tablets to keep them put of your room as insurance). To end this review - as I say we will go back. The real issue here is the amount of money that the travel agent takes from the package holiday. I am sure of that; and, perhaps this severely restricts the budget available for updating and refurbishing the rooms. But, if the owner does not listen to the negative reports, I fear over time that there will be an exodus...and that would be very, very sad given the potential of this place. Oh...those who criticize the sunbeds..please bear in mind that they get very heavy use...and often the towels that sit on them all day must weigh a ton (even more if the people who put them there think to come back and use the beds!!). If the beds and other issues were addressed the rating would be very good to excellent. (The bathroom was great!)More
