The family-friendly Valamar Crystal counts a close-to-it-all setting, a relaxing pool set-up, and lots of things to do as highlights.
This place has clinched a seafront spot in a pine forest clearing. You can walk to the ragged shoreline in a few minutes, and the Roman town of Porec is just a bit further on.
The hotel is well geared up for families, with lots of activities and separate pools for children and adults. Décor is cool and contemporary – rooms come with beech furniture and brightly painted feature walls.

Worth its 4 stars
We went on a group tour and was very pleased with the hotel and its location. Very quiet area but only a short 15 minute walk into the town along a delightful coastal path. The hotel was modern with a nice bar area and good outside seating with large umbrellas overlooking the well attended gardens and sea. We had a very nice room with a large balcony overlooking the pinewoods and sea. Very good breakfasts and dinner was all that you could ask for- plenty of choice and freshly cooked, although the restaurant did have a bit of a canteen feel about it. Croatia is inexpensive even the hotel drinks were not overpriced. A bottle of the house white wine was £8.70 and by the glass £2.18!! At bars in town you could get two cups of coffee for about £1.80 or a glass of wine for the same price. Food was also good value, I had lunchtime pasta and fish dishes for about £4 each.Wi Fi available in lounge area.More

Superb Hotel, Great Location, Excellent Food, Great Staff & 2 Hrs from Bham!
Well, what can we say. This is the first time to Croatia having been to Egypt for three years and then Norway. We avoided Croatia as it has been very expensive in the past, although it is now more reasonable. We originally booked via Thomson to stay at the Island Hotel, Fortuna, however, we were contacted and advised that the hotel was closing early due to extensive renovations etc and out hotel was changed to the Valamar Crysyal. This is a 4 star hotel in a great location surrounded by pine trees. We were on the 4th floor and the room was well appointed and clean. The beds were a little firm but fine and the room was cleaned every day by Ana who was a lovely friendly lady. Breakfasts were buffet style and were superb, everything you could want for breakfast was available. Your coffee cup will never be empty and was forever being topped up. Lovely. Dinner was also superb, some nights were themed (fish, local, etc) and the food was freshly cooked and excellent quality. We couldn't fault the breakfast or dinner, honestly. The poolside area was great, the waiters (especially Radaovan) were excellent. Unlike Egypt, you can eat everything without fear. Another bonus is that you can drink the tap water too, although the water is very limescale heavy. The location of the hotel was amazing too, a short walk took you to the coast. Turn right, follow the coast and after 15 minutes walking you will come to the delightful town of Porec. We really really REALLY enjoyed this holiday and we're already planning next years holiday to the Istria Peninsula, might even be the same hotel!More

Dont miss this one
An excellent hotel situated in a delightful wooded area and well worthy of its 4 Stars.Rooms are well appointed and for those dining in, the food is of very good quality with both breakfast and dinner offering a wide choice to suit all tastes. The pool area and adjacent restaurant could not be better. For those going to Porec [pronounced PORRIDGE as in breakfast ] a pleasant 20 min walk can be taken on the coastal path with woodland on one side and sea on the other.Alternatively bicycles can be hired at reasonable cost or you can catch the frequent road train [very cheap] or hitch a ride in a rickshaw! Well recommended.More

Superb 4star crystal hotel Porec
Had a great week at this hotel. It was 100 per cent all round. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. Great breads and rolls. Teapot and coffee pots provided. Hugh choice of fruits and cereals. Very attentive staff. Very good dinner buffets with delicious potatoes and veg. Also every dessert one could want. The beds were the most comfortable we ever had and linen changed every 2days. Free safe In room. The entertainment at night was excellent. The pool area was very large with plenty of sun beds. Towels were provided also. There were very nice gardens around hotel with trees and sun lounges. Very quiet and private if one wants it. Overall an excellent hotel and many guests, including ourselves, would return to Crystal.More

Stayed at the Crystal 16th -27th Sept and enjoyed every minute at this lovely hotel. All the staff was friendly and helpful and could not do enough to make sure your stay would be a good one. Our room was serviced by a young lady called Magdalena (Meg) who from our meeting her for the first time never seemed to stop smiling, and was always a pleasure to meet her in the mornings. Our room 233,was at the rear of the hotel over looking the pine trees and was nice and quiet. Entertainment at the hotel was shared between the Rubin and Diamante which are on the same complex, and was only average, we would assume that in high season this would be better. Food was good and always plenty of choice fresh food available. Would certainly recommend the Crystal to anyone.More
