Valamar Crystal

The family-friendly Valamar Crystal counts a close-to-it-all setting, a relaxing pool set-up, and lots of things to do as highlights.

This place has clinched a seafront spot in a pine forest clearing. You can walk to the ragged shoreline in a few minutes, and the Roman town of Porec is just a bit further on.

The hotel is well geared up for families, with lots of activities and separate pools for children and adults. Décor is cool and contemporary – rooms come with beech furniture and brightly painted feature walls.

well we did not book this hotel we booked the hotel fortuna this is the second time valamar has changed our hotel for their convenience..the hotel looked good and food was ok but the first th ing that happened..we were given two cards to get into the room.they didn't work reception came ..still didnt work so a man had to come and reprograme the lock..then the safe was left open with the bolts out so again we had to get reception to sort it out..then it was 5 days of ants in the room( gardeners had got a tree root out of ground outside our room) 2 days of rain and the third day 5minutes sun the room was very cold and dark.. Outside there are large dark trees and the room has a flat roof the room number is 130 later we had problems with water dripping from the ceiling then the day before coming home the ants were back the morning we left i had shower then dressed in the dining room, the coach to the airport and in the airport there were ants dropping off me..they were even in my bed when i got up...compensation well we were left in our room a bowl of fruit and a bottle of water this was the hotel we didnt remember the number of our room was 130 hope we get a better deal this year but not at this hotel. Very good hotel located just outside of Porec

This hotel is truly recommended for your relaxing holiday in Porec. Spacious and clean rooms with an average high standard. The reception is very helpful if you need anything and the restaurant is spacious with good food. The are around the hotel is green and relaxing and you can take a swim in the big pool or just walk a few metres down to the great waters of the Mediterranean. It's an easy walk in to Porec from the hotel. You can even catch i tourist train if you feel like taking it east.More

Patrik D,

Lovely Hotel

We went on a group tour and were very pleased with the hotel and its location. Very quiet area but only a short 15 minute walk into the town along a delightful coastal path. The hotel was modern, spotless and with a nice bar area and good outside seating with large umbrellas overlooking the well attended gardens and sea. We had a very nice room with a large balcony overlooking the pinewoods and sea. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Very good breakfasts and dinner - plenty of choice and freshly cooked, although the restaurant did have a bit of a canteen feel about it. We found this part of Croatia less expensive than the Dubrovnik area. Entertainment at the hotel was only average but we were there at the end of season. Would definitely return but would try and come earlier in the season as some of the restaurants and shops were winding down.More

October visit

Visited the Valamar Crystal on a coach trip and pleasantly surprised with the hotel and its staff. Due to unforeseen circumstances we arrived too late for dinner but the hotel left an excellent cold meal for our arrival. The rooms were very clean and superbly furnished and ours was on the ground floor at the back with a lovely big balcony looking towards the sea. The whole area is clean and well maintained and the seating area overlooking the pool was large and comfortable. We walked along the coastal path into Porec just in time to take a boat trip (which left at mid-day) to Lim Fjord. The trip cost approx £10 each for four hours. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and the buffet meals were excellent (hence the pounds we put on while there). There was not one single moan about the food as there was something for everyone. The only little downside was please take mosquito deterrent/cream as although it was the end of the mosquito season we had several bites and also the air conditioning had been switched off and it was warm at night.More

September visit

Pleasant hotel about an hour from Pula airport, there is a nice fifteen minute walk away from traffic, beautiful sea views and through woodland into the town of Porec. The path also used by cyclists and the regular road train for those not wanting to walk. The town of Porec consists of lovely cobbled streets with numerous places for coffee, lunches and the delicious ice cream all available at a very reasonable price. At the hotel there was plenty of choice to eat at breakfast, dinner good, although a little repetitive. Pool area very nice, well kept and clean and although there was a non reservation policy, this wasn't adhered to with Germans reserving areas from early morning and not appearing until later in the afternoon. The WiFi was free, however a different code was used each day available from reception.More
