Valamar Crystal

The family-friendly Valamar Crystal counts a close-to-it-all setting, a relaxing pool set-up, and lots of things to do as highlights.

This place has clinched a seafront spot in a pine forest clearing. You can walk to the ragged shoreline in a few minutes, and the Roman town of Porec is just a bit further on.

The hotel is well geared up for families, with lots of activities and separate pools for children and adults. Décor is cool and contemporary – rooms come with beech furniture and brightly painted feature walls.

Superb holiday!

Dobro Jutro! We stayed for five days and had an amazing time! The service personel, especially Vesna and Dominik were exceptional. The Maro club animators; Renate, Valentina and Annamarja were fabulous! And Jelena on reception was excellent! Adis and Dunja for aerobics and Zumba were fantastic. We had an amzing time and we will be back!! My one critisism is that the beds were rather soft! Thank you Valamar, we hope to see you soon!!More

Friendly staff, good location, very nice pool!

We had a very nice stay here for 7 nights, with a small child. We had a very nice surprise at the check in, when we got upgraded to the family suite. Rooms were very clean, super friendly staff and the food was good. The pool is excellent and animation in the evening is quite entertaining. Thank you for a nice and relaxing holiday!More

Fullboard in Valamar Crystal

Beware of a cleaning woman called Mariana! She made our stay there hell! A one week full board holiday that would have been relaxing turned out a night mare. We had to ask almost everyday for toilet paper because she hardly left a new one. There was a day my husband had to chase her down the corridor to actually get toilet paper because we had none at all in the room to use. She did not replenish our shampoo almost through out our stay. Hubby again had to ask her for shamppo on the day of departure to enable us take a bath in the morning before check out. To crown it all the day before we checked out hubby gave her a 10 euro tip and maybe because the tip was not in her currency or too small we don't know but she was not happy about it. She just threw new towels in the bathroom without arranging them and ended up stealing our waterproof mattress underlay that we brought along so our 3 year old would not pee on the hotel mattress. It went missing the day before we were to leave and she simply informed the receptionist she left it in the room after cleaning. The receptionist Tereza did not give us an update about the issue until we asked the next day during checkout only to be informed the cleaning lady said she did not take it. No apologies no nothing. If the cleaning lady stole it would she come clean? of course she would say she did not take it. I would have rated this hotel very good but this experience with the staff may me drop the rating to average. The food on the other hand was very good and so were the restaurant staff. The hotel environment was also very clean and in a nice location. Alot for children to do but the best children play areas were not free one had to pay extra for the usage. All in all it is a good hotel but if we ever choose to visit again we would book the Valamar Tamaris Villas.More

Having visited other destinations in Croatia Porec is defiantly the best resort and location transport is good and cheap the Hotel is situated on the main noddy train route the only negative bit was the lack of availability of sunbeds at the pool due to people leaving towels and property then disappearing for a few hours but the area down by Jedro beach is much nicer just have to by a matrass and rent sunbeds but cheap also Jedro restaurant is close and not very expensive. Eating out in Porec as long as you stay of the Harbour away from the Posers and boat owners eating out is cheap with lots of choiceMore

Great place to stay

Two of us stayed in a twin room (ground floor with balcony) at the Valamar Crystal from 20 June to 1 July. We had a fantastic time, we would echo the previous positive comments made by everyone on Tripadvisor. The room was kept extremely clean and tidy (thanks to Mariana), it had everything we needed. Just a very small point to mention: the hairdryer is a bit weak so you may want to pack your own (albeit it was very hot in Croatia anyway so hair dries in no time!!!). Reception give you each a towel card which you exchange for new pool/beach towels. The food is really good - a huge variety of food to choose from. Drinks are not expensive at all. Everyone at the hotel is really nice - they go out of their way to ensure that you are welcome (special mention here to Valimir, Tomo, Goran, Radovan, Damir, Marko). The hotel also offers plenty of activities during the day (like bike rides, pilates etc) and there is entertainment (which is a good standard) during the evenings in the week, if you want. Porec itself is lovely (great restaurant by the Marina called Davino which we went to for lunch). We also did a day trip to Venice and to Rovinj and Motovun - all definitely worth a visit.More
