Really enjoyed it.
Just back from a weeks all inclusive at the villa dorada and really enjoyed it. We had to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready but think that's Thomson holidays flight times rather than hotels fault but we were given our bracelet so by the time we'd had lunch the room was ready....room itself was spacious on pool side 5th floor which suited us perfectly. The food was ok as if you didn't like something you can just leave it and get something else. The pool area was great with plenty of sun beds. Special mention goes out to entertainments staff who are great with the kids. The bar staff take a lot of grief for implementing the 2 drinks per person policy but having seen greedy people ordering 15 drinks at last orders to take up to their rooms I can understand why.More

Rudest Reception Staff ever!!!!
Initial impression was very poor, we were checked in to a room overlooking the street on the second floor, went to reception to say the aircon was not working, was informed that it would only work when the balcony door was closed, went up and ensured the door was closed, only to find the sliding door did not close. Down to reception where we advised of this, a male said he would be up to the room, we asked when "I don't know" was the response, ten minutes later no sign....back down again. He came up to the room , confirmed the door would not close"not my job to fix it" and that someone would be up in the morning. We asked what we were to do in a room which is accessible from the street that did not lock and no aircon, We said we would wait until morning to resolve this, if they gave us a safety deposit box, back down to reception, where the receptionist and the male were clearly giving out about us, standing there for 10 minutes without being informed what was going on. I felt we were being reasonable asking for the deposit box, and were told that we would have to pay for it, eventually they agreed to change room , checking in and any dealings with reception were absolutely unpleasant. Other than that it was ok, good location, quiet and clean, food fine and plenty of choice, but would not return or recommendMore
This hotel was awesome the staff were helpful and did everything to help.... The entertainment staff of Alfie and bombon were great full of energy always got people involved and made the holiday. Chantelle Standing, holiday rep. of Thomson (Tui) was amazing very informative and always interacting with us guests! She's amazing for someone for so young she has so much knowledge of her local area ð. The hotel is nicely place near the beaches and close to shops even the bus stop to all local towns is just down the hill from the hotel. The food was amazing, fresh homemade pizza every day, lunch and evening meal and pudding was awesome... The evening entertainment was 2nd to none...More
Stayed at the villa Dorada from 6/6/15- 13/6/15 Hotel very clean and comfortable rooms. food not to our taste I am vegetarian and struggled all week I lived on salad, plain pasta tomato type sauce and occasionally pizza. my husband who is by no means a fussy eater also did not enjoy the food a lot of greasy, fatty meat stews. however the desserts were nice. As a couple we did not find the entertainment good more aimed towards children. Nearby beaches are lovely. We found salou a bit too busy people working in shops and bars quite pushy in trying to get customers not for us.More

The entertainers Alfie and Bon bon were brilliant with every one and really added to the holiday they even organised a football match when i enquiered about a few of us having a kick around, they really went all out top guys. The hotel was a bit dated but it was always clean. The food was always nice and tasty but it did get a bit repetative after a while. I would recomend this hotel to anyone. Top marks to all the staff.
