Good hotel shame about the Food!!!

Just arrived home from the hotel, a few problems with it they were Food Variety not very good either chicken or pork, Food either cold or luke warm, shower in room either dangerously hot or freezing cold, walk in shower very slippy a lady fell while i was there & ended up having emergency surgery due to injury. Entertainment team not very good, on a hill known as "heart attack hill". It had aircon in the room that had a thermostat that didnt work, Disabled access not the best steep ramps & areas with no ramp. Lifts tiny my wheelchair would not fit in. Nelson was the barman & was very polite & helpful. I would advise that if you have mobility problems this is not the place for you.More

Fawlty towers😡

On arrival I was told that if I wanted to watch the tv in my room I had to pay €20 for the remote which I didn't as I thought it was ridiculous, then it was the constant asking for room numbers every time I ordered a drink from the bar I have never had this from all inclusive before & it was somewhat annoying, the food was absolutely terrible & on returning home I had lost quite a lot of weight. People were walking round with cuts, bruises & broken limbs but on the positive side Nelson the bar man was amazing & such good fun which was great as the other bar staff were rude & miserable. My room was clean but all in all I had a terrible holiday & would never go back there & wouldn't recommend it to anyone More

Fun in the Sun !!!!

Just back from a week with the girls. On arrival we were welcomed by the staff who were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spacious and clean. We had a high floor, pool side room which i would recommend as you get a great veiw to watch the evening entertainment in the comfort of your own balcony. The food was lovely with a wide variety of choices to cater for all tastes. Snacks throughout the day were cooked to order, none of this reheated stuff just left out as is the practice in some hotels. Bar staff were friendly and full of fun. Service was quick and nothing was too much trouble. Pool activites were fun and not intrusive. Our Thomsons rep, was lovely and made herself available for most of our stay. Had some good outings too within the week. We packed lots in. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Big thanks to all, especially the catering staff they always gave a first class service. Will definitely be back !!!More

Good all-inclusive hotel

Just returned from a week here, 22-29 Sept. Having read several reviews prior to our visit we were a bit apprenhensive but there is nothing to be concerned about. I have rated it as average due to the fact that the hotel is dated & would benefit from a fresh coat of paint & updated furniture. We were disappointed that there were no comfy chairs in the bar area to relax at the end of the day as the wooden ones are not comfortable & outside are plastic patio chairs. Check-in was straight-forward however they did not tell us at this point that we had to pay a deposit for safe, hairdryer & TV remote (this would've been over 60 euros if we wanted all 3!) I would rather have cash to spend there rather than to bring home....i think Thomson should maybe make customers aware of this though. Our room over-looked the pool & although the entertainment was outside, noise was not a problem. The room was comfy, clean & we had wifi access there. Food was good, plenty of choice although not hot enough for me- that said when you cater for large numbers you can expect this. We even had a good picnic from the hotel (sandwich, crisps, apple, yogurt & bottle of water) to take to Barcelona on our day out. The drinks were great-think i have far more 'Baileys' than i should have! You can also get snacks from the bar when resturant is closed. Outdoor pool was cold but indoor pool was warm & quiet which suited us. Staff are helpful & hard-working. Hotel is clean & in a good location. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Shops, bars & resturants are closeby as is a local night time market. There are several beaches within 15mins walk & the new coastal path is very pleasant to stroll along to see which beach you prefer. The tourist train stops just down the road & a BusPlana office is over the road, if you prefer to get out & about on your own.More

I recently returned from a week at villa dorada with 3 friends. We had a brilliant time there, all the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was lovely, a huge choice, with freshly cooked fish and meat by the chef at every lunch and dinnertime. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would recommend rooms with a pool view as u can see all the nightly entertainment from your balcony, brill! I would recommend this hotel to anyone, finally, the Thomson rep, l think her name was Louise was extremely helpful and friendly, who was at the hotel nearly every day. Would definitely go back.
