We spent the day walking along Las Ramblas and enjoying the sites. So many restaurants and shops to visit. Great food. Be sure not to take anything handed to you by a walking street vendor as they can be aggressive. Definitely a great way to spend a lazy day....

La Ramblas is not a pesdestrian-only street as the description says. There is traffic and currently construction amid tackiness. Too much tourist trinket junk to be bothered with. To each side of the Rambla are interesting old streets but the actual street itself features pathetic U.S. fast food restos along with loads of tourists. Recommended only for tourists who want to be tourists....

It is pretty walk down Las Ramblas, but many of the stands and stores are overpriced and generic compared to what you can find around the rest of the city, the large food market is once again low quality and expensive compared to the rest of the city, and Las Ramblas was under a significant amount of construction. Worth a walk through but don't expect to buy anything, and as always, beware of pickpockets!...

Las Ramblas in early October was crammed with tourists and locals alike. The street was being dug up for some type of installation, water, power or whatever so the noise was deafening. The street would be quite lovely except for the cheap, tacky tourist booths along it and the almost inevitable pickpockets (all touristy cities have these). I liked the pedestrian street. There was a lot of stores all selling the same things there. It is cool how big cities can set aside this much land for walking...
