Iberostar Bouganville Playa

We originally had been booked for Las Dalias as stayed there the year before but it was closed for refurbishment , and due to Covid we were also due to come in May but changed to September for the week . We stayed in 3rd floor room ,330 , views looking down to Playa de la America's and to the sea to the right when out on the balcony . Room modern and welcome water on arrival . We were greeted with a drink on arrival and concierge man to show us to our room . Hotel is following full Health and safety measures in place set by Spanish government , masks worn by all staff , and guests to wear in all areas , other than when eating or drinking . We felt safe and well and had no issues , food is of good quality and choice, one of reasons why we decided to go back to Iberostar chain . If only the UK followed the Spanish Government and enforced , it's safer there than here at the moment . Will be back next year ..

My husband and I stayed at Iberostar Bouganville for one week in mid-September 2020. It was both our first visit to Tenerife and our first trip abroad since the pandemic. We could not have picked a better destination or hotel. We knew that added health & safety measures would be in place at the hotel prior to travelling, but were unsure what these would entail. We were happily surprised to find out that the hotel had taken every possible measure to minimise contagion. There were hand sanitisers by the elevators in every floor and in every common area, and (reassuringly!) guests were asked to use hand sanitiser before entering any dining area. In the dining area itself – which is buffet-style – tongs and spoons beside the serving plates were changed regularly to avoid contagion. All guests and staff wore masks at all times when indoors. There were clear signs and posters reminding guests to hand sanitise, wear masks and socially distance. We felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. On to the fun stuff… The hotel itself is extremely well-decorated, with unique murals scattered across different floors. It’s also very airy and spacious, which gives the hotel a very elegant touch. But the true beauty of the hotel is to be found in its outdoor spaces, which I can only describe as fantastic. When we were not out exploring, we would spend the day by the solarium pool taking in the sun, laying on a sunbed watching the sea or simply visiting the beach next door, less than 5 min walk away from the hotel. Travellers’ tip: booking a Star Prestige stay will give you access to several exclusive areas + jacuzzis + unlimited drinks during a set period of time. Most people on here have already commented on the exceptional quality of the food. I can only say that I wholeheartedly agree and encourage you all to try the insanely good homemade waffles at the breakfast buffet!
