Walk around Budva’s bastion walls
The Venetians who ruled Budva in the 15th century left behind these stony fortifications. Climb to the top and you’re served with bird’s-eye views of the Square of the Poets and churches dating back to the 7th century. Afterwards, it costs 3 euros to enter Budva Citadel, a hulking fortress containing a library of rare books and maps. Its terrace looks out to Sveti Nikola island across the sparkling Adriatic Sea.
