1. Purchase your First Choice trip and keep hold of your booking details

Using the details of your First Choice booking – hotel name, departure dates and holiday cost – you can then head to the First Choice x Sensible Weather website.

2. Add a Weather Guarantee to your trip

Each guarantee is tailored with your trip in mind – based on your location. Fill out your booking details on the page provided for First Choice customers to see what a Weather Guarantee can cover.

3. Get money back

Unlucky with the weather? You’ll be reimbursed and notified instantly. No need to tell us, Sensible Weather are always working behind the scenes to keep on top of the latest forecast. If the heavens open, we’ll know about it.

For added security and speed, the funds of your payout will be sent via PayPal to avoid sharing any bank details. Don’t worry if you don’t have a PayPal account – you’ll get an email about your payment, so just follow the link, choose a password and we’ll set you up. You can then securely and instantly transfer your payout wherever you want it.

Payout is valid on any day of the holiday where there is covered weather between 8am-8pm at your hotel’s location. Head to the First Choice x Sensible Weather page and enter your trip information to see specific coverage tailored to your experience.

No, Sensible Weather will automatically contact you by SMS and email in the morning, based on the forecast.

Yes, the Weather Guarantee does not result in your holiday being cancelled or altered.

A Weather Guarantee covers each day of your holiday, so you can be reimbursed for one or more days and still enjoy the ones when it’s not raining.

If it rains during your holiday, you will receive a text and an email with a link to PayPal. If you already have a PayPal account linked to your email, you can login from here to collect your payout. If not, click create a personal account.

You will be asked to supply your phone number and to choose a password.  Your email address should already be populated. Fill in the missing details and click next – That’s it! Your account is ready to go.

Weather Guarantees are available for most holidays. There are some holidays that Weather Guarantees cannot be added to. You can check if a Weather Guarantee is available by adding your trip details.

When you sign into PayPal you will see your funds in the balance. Click on the balance figure to select Transfer to Bank Account. Enter your bank account number and sort code to transfer the funds. The transfer takes just minutes and is free of charge.
