Cala Mesquida is an unusually excellent, beautiful, fun beach, and we really loved staying just steps away from it. We valued the location probably more than the hotel itself. There are also hikes that can be taken from Cala Mesquida, but the height of summer is a bit hot for that. The hotel facilities are very nice—more polished than I would expect to find in the US for a beach hotel that does not get year-round volume. It seemed clean. The age requirement of 16 and up is nice if you are traveling without young kids yourself. It keeps the atmosphere serene. Other neighboring hotels are set up for families with children. Buffet breakfast was fine, more expansive than luxurious (you stand in line at an automatic coffee machine) and seemed to be styled principally for the tastes of the many British and German guests (I never saw tortilla Espanola.) The wait staff at breakfast was a little rushed and detached; if you drop a fork, better grab a fresh one from another table yourself. We did not eat dinner at the hotel. Dinner options within walking distance of the hotel are limited. Although the hotel seemed clean, we had a ground-floor room and there were pavement ants in the room. (We also found them in the car when we left the area. The car had been parked just off the road, under trees.) We were not bitten. The hotel has a parking lot but not enough space for all guests. You are on your own to find parking elsewhere if you don't get a space in their lot. Hotel staff was polite. Would I return? Maybe for two days of easy access to that wonderful beach; I would get bored after that. I would also consider other hotel options.

I spent a week here in mid October. Waited quite a while to leave the airport (over an hour on a static minibus). The early start home got me booking a cab to the airport for an extra 2 hours in bed! This was €95. The hotel and grounds are spotless. 5 standalone accommodation blocks in a quiet location with excellent facilities. If you want peace and quiet it's there in spades. A huge room with all mod cons including a massive bath and walk-in shower. Plenty of places to relax in the hotel and grounds, and if you want activities again, plenty to choose from either on or off site. The food was excellent; great choices and the same for the drinks. All inclusive is a very good option. On the whole the staff were amazing, especially Nerea in the pool bar and Arturas and Pedro in the lunchtime and evening services. The usual evening entertainment was provided! Small niggles were a lot of smoking around the pools and some grumpy staff but... I'd recommended this for a wonderful relaxing and quiet holiday
