We booked this trip as a family of 4 (2 children - a 13 & 11 year old) and really did have a lovely relaxing time. Everything about the Hotel was just what we needed away from the madness back home with COVID lockdown, working at home, home schooling etc. Apprehensive but could not fault the hotel at all for all the protocols that they have in place with social distancing and safety. We had a swim up room in mixed area which was truly wonderful - you must upgrade if you can as worth every penny. Restaurants were well managed, we had no issues booking all of the restaurants and did this immediately on arrival - checked in and straight over to guest services. We ate in all the restaurants and buffet, cake shop, and used all the bars - all very friendly service and what we thought was very nice, good food until the day before we left when my youngest Son started to feel poorly - we visited the hotel nurses who sold us some medication for upset stomach and we brought his fever down with Calpol - severe upset stomach, drowsy and he slept all day and thankfully the whole flight home but on arrival at home the following day my Son started to hallucinate, violent sickness and was rushed to hospital where he was given fluids and medication - tests concluded that he had contracted Salmonella. GUTTED! Look, I know this can happen anywhere, I don't think I have ever been away when bodily functions do not change slight but the fact is we did not leave the Hotel to eat at all, we were only here for 1 week as a relaxing de-stress from the last 6 months and had no time to venture out - there is too much to do at the hotel! I haven't even marked this Hotel down to poor as It really is a lovely place and we had a lovely time as a family, the Cabanas are a great hire as well and really luxurious. I am just sad that I have this bad ending and sad that as a parent, I know this was not just an upset tummy from heat, change of water, etc etc - I know this was more serious because of how so very poorly he was, he did not eat for over a week and in hospital for 2 days - I just take comfort that It was towards the very end of the holiday and not at the start. Just be very careful Id hate for anyone (especially another child) to experience what my son did. Sadly I have emailed the hotel to make them aware and no reply, I have told TUI who own the Hotel and I am really disappointed with there reply, this was no stomach upset and to finish with please complete a survey is absurd - please see below: Dear Mrs XXX, Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your holiday. We are concerned when a customer has cause to complain and we are sorry that you were disappointed on this occasion. I was concerned to read that you were unwell during your stay. We do find that stomach upsets are extremely common when travelling overseas due to the change in water, climate and food. This normally passes quite quickly with over the counter medication and I do hope you’re now feeling much better. We have no reports of any illness, however, due to the different ways in which food is cooked and served and also the combination of the intense heat, and high humidity, you may have experienced a difference in your constitution to normal which can sometimes carry on for a few days, even after you have returned to the UK. As a company, we think that it is important to say sorry to any customer who has found cause for complaint. I accept that this does not change what happened, however we will take your comments on board to improve the quality of our service. Third time I’ve been here and again really enjoyed the experience. Staff making real effort to minimise c19 risks. Excellent transfers. Room excellent, Italian, Chinese and Turkish restaurants all top rate as was the lunchtime Italian. Enjoyed the evening shows - decent dancer/singing Had a tour of the residence - beautiful brand new, a bit quieter but not a lot different from the adults only area of the main hotel. A few minor bits that could be improved -Diet Coke in mini bar -System to book a sun bed without getting up at 7:00 -Option of more expensive flights at better times -The €25 per head charge for the pay restaurants is crazy

We stayed for 10 days from 31st aug to 10th sept the hotel was fantastic as were the rooms and facilities all Covid precautions taken and adhered to by all guests and staff only one thing lets this hotel down is the on site shops which were a total rip off charging 4 to 5 times more than if you visited a resort 10 minutes away called calis do not touch these shops unless you are very desperate or have lots of money to throw away
