Kefalos Beach Tourist Village

My wife, Linda and I had the pleasure of a holiday at your wonderful resort from the 4th – 11th March 2020. After a long flight from the UK we arrived at the village and were immediately impressed with what we saw. Check in was marvellous and so efficient with several members of staff well prepared to check in several couples from the flight. They were all extremely friendly and made us feel relaxed and at home, providing us with all the information we needed or asked for. We were then taken on a cute golf cart, with our suitcases, by a lovely chap to our room, but first he also gave us a quick tour showing us where the bar was and where to have breakfast. Due to the early time of the year for this holiday I had elected to choose a superior apartment with a full sea view (just in case the weather turned bad). Well we were not disappointed and we had been allocated an upper floor apartment on the corner of the village, so we effectively had a double view from the balcony of the sea and the coast line looking all the way up towards the Coral Bay direction. These views were just stunning, especially the sunsets. Elena in reservations, if you had anything to do with allocating us this room, thank you! The room was superb in all respects. Spotlessly clean with a large living room and kitchen area and a lovely bedroom with a window. We had never planned to do any cooking in the room but there was everything available in the kitchen area, including an oven & hob, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, large fridge and all the plates, cups, glasses, cutlery and numerous other items to be able to produce any meal. Full tea and coffee making facilities were also available. These were topped up every night by charming and very friendly room staff. On that note the room staff were brilliant, our room was cleaned and tidied every day and the staff were always so helpful, making sure we were happy and had everything we needed. We were also given a complimentary bottle of fizz, bottle of water and a basket of fresh fruit. Along with the bathrobes and slippers, it was all perfect. The next morning we had our first breakfast and wow we were not disappointed. There was just about everything you could ever wish for to eat. A full selection of hot food, including freshly made omelettes, cold meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals etc. The staff again were brilliant in all respects ensuring our every need was met. After breakfast we then explored the rest of the village. The pool area is just gorgeous with the bar right next to it. The indoor pool was also very nice with plenty of facilities available. There is an on-site shop that stock just about everything you would ever need. The biggest pleasure was just walking around the entire complex, with little paths everywhere and beautiful plants, trees, flowers and various items such as massive terracotta vases etc. The small church in the middle was just divine. The Paphos coastal path also runs along between the village and the sea. Again this was lovely with plenty of seating to just sit in the sunshine and watch the world go by. We used the pool bar every night for a few drinks and were treated to some very pleasant entertainment considering it was only March. We also had a couple of meals there and they were delicious and well-priced. But I have to say that a special thank you goes to the two George’s and Chara who were the bar staff on duty while we were there. They were absolutely brilliant in all respects and so friendly. We had some amazingly fun nights. Please pass on our special thanks to them because they truly deserve it. We have had a wonderful holiday and we were so sad to leave. We are a couple in our very late fifties and don’t normally return to the same place. However, we are seriously considering coming back to you in September. Finally a massive thank you to everybody at the Kefalos Beach Tourist Village for making our holiday absolutely perfect in all respects and hopefully we will see you again in the near future. We stayed here in March so knew it would be quiet which is what we wanted. Grounds are laid out like a little village with bungalow apartments pool and dining area. Everywhere is clean neat and tidy which can’t be said about the outside of the hotel which looks half finished, not the hotel’s fault but the local authority needs to get its act in order. The breakfast is good with lots of choice but can imagine it gets very busy in high season, evening meal was a let down we only ate once there maybe it will get better with practice. Staff are friendly and helpful and are always ready to listen to you. TV remote has to be hired which is bizarre and the safe is extra cost, rooms are clean and have everything you need but don’t forget to take washing up liquid. Some good coastal walks and nearby is a large shopping mall with lots of restaurants and bars close to it. Think hotel could do more for the cat population in the grounds, a program of neutering with a cat charity would be good idea also it should not be left to guests or local animal lovers to feed them, surely the hotel kitchens have plenty of left overs. The cats are a asset for the hotel we loved seeing them but they need better care, we left worrying about their welfare. Overall a good hotel ideal for couples and families.
