Valamar Collection Girandella Maro Suites

We have stayed there for 3 nights. It was our first time there. I booked via their webpage and from the moment I made the booking, the 5* experience started. I have received a very nice introductory e-mail, where guest relations agent contacted me and introduced herself (have to mention her, she is really great: Ivana Tijan), a link to download the app, which offered great insight into their offer and gave me an opportunity to prepare for my visit in advance. During our stay, the services were really great, from food on. Even the wine served at lunch/dinner was a very nice quality white wine, one that you’d also ordered - my husband is a great connoisseur of wines and he had nothing against it, moreover, he praised the fact that they opted to go for a recognized brand to serve as their house wine and uplift the experience. Food was tasty, selection of dishes great. The very last bit of this magnificent customer service was the fact that they have sent us a soft toy per post to our home address - my daughter got it upon check-out, but unfortunately forgot it at the hotel - and they haven’t complicated for a single bit. We do not usually opt for all-inclusive services at the hotels where we are staying, but this one really exceeded our expectations. Will surely come back. Congratulations to the whole team of Girandella, you are doing a great job!

Fabulous hotel, super clean, great staff and the most glorious beach just below it. No traffic to listen to - just serious relaxation time. Online concierge were great at arranging restaurant reservations and being driven from the car to the hotel in the little buggies was a novelty. We tried the Italian restaurant which was nice and changed dinner one evening for the beach bbq which we also enjoyed. Food in the restaurant was good, slightly repetitive after 10 days but that’s like most hotels but it was the friendly staff that really made a difference, whether at the bar, reception or beach club etc. We were lucky to be there when Abbazia were on which was a great night at Sundance and I recommend the Hugo from the drinks menu. Plenty of sun beds at the beach, even in August so we didn’t use the pool at all and great to have drinks service down there. Lovely to be able to hire pedalos and use the wibit and whilst we didn’t have small children with us, there were great facilities for them. Enjoyable night at the quiz and the entertainment team really made it fun for all taking part. My husband played tennis one morning - seemed to be more difficult to arrange than we hoped given there was a sports desk so perhaps that could be improved but that aside we would happily return to sit on that pebble beach again. Similarly we would try other Valamar hotels in Croatia given how much we enjoyed this one.
