Had a lovely stay at Foss Hotel. Location is SUPER convenient (many tours pick up from bus stop 12 which is right outside) with the main streets of downtown accessible in a 10-15 min walk. Room was clean, heated floors in the bathroom were a much needed touch in the winter. Hotel and surrounding streets were quiet, beds comfortable, a great place to rest and recharge. A really nice modern hotel. Rooms are large with great bathrooms, large showers, heated floors in bathroom. Staff at front desk is efficient and very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was great with a large selection.
Great central location. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping area.
Also and nice but small gift shop in hotel....

Comfortable hotel. Easy to find. Friendly and professional staff. We accidentally broke a glass in the room one morning and housekeeping staff were right on it and thoroughly cleaned it up. Don't miss the breakfast buffet. It's not your typical American continental breakfast. They offer an array of items, just about anything you could want. I love the Skyr!...

Solid 4* Hotel with good value

A sizeable hotel in Borgartun, Fosshotel Reykjavik fits the bill for a 4* Hotel complete with airport services, restaurant and concierge. 5 minutes from the water and 15 minutes from downtown, by foot, bus-stop 12 picks up right out front for easy access to tours or KEF. Appreciate the complimentary Coffee, but gym definitely needs more than 1 treadmill for so many rooms....

We had a warm welcome when we arrived and was quickly checked in. The hotel lobby was decorated lovely and Christmassy. Went to our room which was on the 7th floor. Was a nice size and very clean. The bathroom had a bath and a separate shower with complimentary shampoo/conditioner and shower gel. There was also smal bottles of shampoo and conditioner.
