Campofelice di Roccella holidays plonk you in the thick of Sicily's show-stopping scenery, close to iconic beaches and skyscraper-tall mountains.

A prince-approved coastline

Campofelice di Roccella’s planted near the sand on Sicily’s scenic northern coast. The town started life as the brain child of a Palermo prince back in 1699. And today, people come from all over to make the most of the area’s hefty beachfront. There’s over 12 kilometres of sandy territory for you to stretch out on here, all of which is dwarfed by a nearby range of mammoth-sized mountains.

Hearty helpings of history

When you’re done exploring the town itself, which is plastered with ruins dating back to 600BC, you could spend the rest of your holiday scouting the surrounding region, where there are plenty of historical goodies to visit. Arabs, Byzantines, Normans and Romans all had a go at leaving their mark on this part of Sicily. So you’ll see historical temples, cathedrals, chapels and castles clumped together into what feels like one open-air museum.

The Madonie Mountains

Campofelice di Roccella’s close to the Madonie Mountains, which are stuffed to the brim with miles of hiking trails and waterfalls that look like they’ve been plucked straight out of a fairy tale. And if that’s not enough to make you lace up your walking boots, some of Sicily’s juiciest wine country’s open for you to sample here, too.
