Put simply, ChampionsGate is a golfer's paradise. This massive complex – a 15-minute drive from Florida's famous Walt Disney World Resort – is Orlando’s number one stop for those with a love for the greens. Visitors can putt their way around two professionally designed championship golf courses, as well as float along the resort's palm-fringed lazy river, or dine out in the bevy of restaurants.

With courses designed by former PGA Tour champion Greg Norman, ChampionGate's got clear fairways and meticulous greens. There's also a driving range and putting area if you want to warm up before your round. After a game or two, finish up with a cool drink in the family-friendly resort clubhouse.

Thrilling daytrips

For a day away, plan a visit to some of Orlando's big-name attractions. Walt Disney World Resort is just a 15-minute drive up the road. Universal Orlando Resort's half an hour's drive, while the Kennedy Space Centre is about an hour away by car.
