Relaxation is the watchword on holidays to Ozdere. Expect lazy days on the beach and low-key nights in traditional restaurants.

Sleepy seaside town

Clustered around a banana-shaped bay on Turkey’s Aegean Coast is the little town of Ozdere. It used to be a sleepy fishing village, and still has a quiet-and-shy nature – you won’t find neon nightclubs or super-sized shopping malls here. Instead, you’ll get a family-friendly beach, a helping of traditional restaurants, and a backdrop of forest-wrapped mountains.

Ozdere Beach

Days in Ozdere tend to revolve around the beach. It’s a great spot for families, with a sweep of spade-friendly sand, plus calm, shallow waters perfect for splashing about in. Adults aren’t left out either – there are watersports on offer, as well as boat trips that leave from the little harbour.

Close to Ephesus

There are some top attractions within daytripping distance of Ozdere – the world-famous ruins at Ephesus are around half an hour’s drive away, as is the Aqua Fantasy water park. And boat trips zip across the Aegean daily to the Greek island of Samos.
