Fiesta De San Lorenzo
Throughout a lot of Spain, August 10th marks the time when people hold a feast in remembrance of the Spanish Saint Lawrence, or San Lorenzo. The locals of Altea, though, take their celebrations up a notch, by holding one of the most spectacular firework nights in the country. It all takes place on the closest Saturday night to the main fiesta, when the sky above Altea’s l’Olla Beach is lit up in a dazzling display.
