Independence Day Carnival - February
One of the most colourful festivals in the Dominican Republic’s annual calendar is Independence Day, falling on 27th February. The wider resort of La Romana, as well as other big towns and cities in this Caribbean nation, hosts a huge celebration to mark the date.
