Get to know the local wildlife
There’s a fair share of must-see African animals on show just a short drive from Saly – so grab your camera and make a beeline for some of west Senegal’s most popular wildlife hotspots. Take to the water on a boat trip across Somone Lagoon to see exotic birds up close, or look out for rhinos, giraffes and crocodiles on a safari around Bandia Wildlife Reserve.
