Explore Pisa's markets

Shopaholics won't find much joy in Tirrenia, but just a 30-minute bus ride away is Pisa where the smart, designer-filled Borgo Stretto is big on Italian leather handbags. Or you can mix with the locals at one of the city’s many markets. The pick of the lot is the excellent food market, with an unfathomable variety of Tuscan cheeses, garlicky sausages, and liquid gold olive oil. It’s held daily at Piazza delle Vettovaglie.
