The Arinara Bang Tao Beach Resort has a king-sized beach on its doorstep. And it’s only a 10-minute drive from the Laguna Canal Village shopping centre.
This place sits on a big, wide band of beach – one of the longest in Phuket. It’s dotted with a small amount of seafood joints and a watersports hut offering surfing lessons and paddleboards.
Traditional Thai décor lends the hotel its good looks, with dark-wood furniture decking out everything from the deluxe swim-up rooms to the restaurants.

Lovely hotel shame about the building works.
We arrived Saturday to a warm welcome and an upgrade from garden swim up room to poolside swim up. Should have stayed garden side as half of the pool including jacuzzi is out of action as being refurbished along with other works. The day is filled with tile cutting and hammering. We were not informed about this by Thomson/ First Choice although the hotel claims to have made them aware. Building work starts just before 08:00 so you won’t miss breakfast!! The only other complaint is the rep. She is very unknowledgeable about the area regarding markets etc and only wants to sell Thomson products. We booked James Bond with Mr John who is just around the corner for 1500 thb. We got half price as still in quiet season. Everything else is great. Staff are so helpful. Food is outstanding. Rooms are very good with plenty of room and storage. Even a hairdryer the ladies. Massage is as cheap at the hotel as anywhere else. Definitely one to come to. More
Terrific resort with spacious room. Family of 5 in the one room and plenty of space. breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Pool was large and not so popular with the Chinese guests so there was hardly anyone ever in it. More room for us. Surrounding beach and streets had great restaurants and bars. Another bonus was being to the North of Patong for pick up and drop off for many of the day trips including james Bond island etc.(not as long in the mini bus as others)More
It was very pleasant to stay in Arinara. We were very lucky with the weather, plenty of sunshine and calm seas (it was low season) which of course helps to have a good opinion on the stay. The only think I may point as not so good is probably not in control of the hotel. There is a beach club / bar / disco neighboring the hotel and in our room, which is one of the furthest located, was possible to hear the music inside.More
Great place to stay
Nice and large room. My 18 month grandson loved the bed that he could crawl in and out of by himself. Mine had a pool outside my room. Very family friendly. I loved that it was on the beach. There are several places within walking distance for shopping, dining, and for fun. More
huge rooms, fun place to stay with small children
the bedrooms were huge with 2 large beds in each, and we could also have an extra bed made up and still have plenty of room to move. the hotel pool was being renovated but 1/2 of it was still available for guest use and that was plenty big enough. helpful friendly staff. the beach seems to have suffered weather damage of late and is not very nice nor very safe but the hotel environment is perfect for our family with small children. the children club is unattended and there are minimum facilites but overall we had a lovely time. very clean room but bed are very hard. the long pool at the front of the bedroom is fun to use. Breakfast is ok but not imaginativeMore
