Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive and Spa

This was our second visit to Fiesta Americana and this place is great for couples and families. Everyone is super friendly and the food is great! Thank you to Elena for keeping our room clean and to Jessica, Luis, and Rafael for serving yummy food and drinks at pool and beach side.

Booked a reservation though Costco Travel for 5 days and 4 nights trip. Overall, workers are helpful and courteous. You would expect them to greet you as you pass by. Safety: I feel safe. Hand sanitizers and temperature checks are everywhere. Main issue: Food service. It was terrible the first two nights. It took more than 1 hour for food to be served especially for the Asian restaurant. Only drinks were served after 1 hour. No plates and utensils. No one also ever came back to check on us once food were served. After posting my original review, the staff concerned knew we had bad experiences. Thus, they spoke to us and ensured to make it up. Yes, they were able to turn the experience to how it should be. Yes, food service improved. Food finally came in a timely manner for dinner on days 3 and 4. Person-in-charge checked on us from time to time to make sure we are having a good time. We appreciate the willingness to correct the untoward incidents and extra effort given by the Team thereafter. Thank you! *If you experience something odd, make sure to let the appropriate person know while you are still at the property so they can try to correct it!

We booked a week in September 2020 at Fiesta Americana through Costco Travel. TLDR: Room was not completely clean and may not have been COVID-19 prepared. Dinner service was incredibly slow (1+ hour) for the first 2 nights. Smell of cigarette smoke in our 4th floor balcony. From our experience, Spanish speakers have better service. English speakers – not so much. If you booked with Costco Travel, make sure you get the wristband eligible for the Somme club if it was included in your package. Food is good, if it comes. conjoining rooms in the hotel are by the elevator Details: During check in, we did not receive a tour nor info about the resort. We asked for connected rooms, but we had to wait for rooms to be cleaned and we did not receive connecting rooms. Also, the mini bars in the rooms were not fully stocked. The room we moved to the next day had dirt all over the floor. so I am questioning how much they clean the room for Covid-19 preparation. Dinner Upon arriving at 9:05pm at the “Asian” restaurant, we were promptly seated and drink orders were obtained. After 20 minutes, we flagged down our server who said he had asked earlier if we had ordered during the service which did not happen. This was a false statement because he had not checked on us at all. We ordered, and we finally received our food around 10:30pm, almost 1.5 hours after we sat down. Second night dinner: We had a dinner reservation at 7pm. The ambiance is nice with lights and fans on the ceiling. We ordered drinks and later ordered food. At 7:50pm, my wife went up to the server because no one checked up on us. She asked the server where our food was, and the server said it was coming up. After asking to speak to the manager, we were told the manager was busy in the back “making food with the chef” and could not speak to us. I thought that was an odd statement to make because how many managers make food with the chef? I haven’t heard of this before, but props to the manager for being a cook. At 8:07pm (we were hangry at this point) upon receiving the main course, we asked about the appetizers. The server looked puzzled and questioned, “You have not received the appetizers yet?” He went back with him team members and came out a few minutes later with the appetizers. After dinner, we went up upstairs to relax on our balcony and enjoy the atmosphere. Unfortunately, we started smelling cigarette smoke on our 4th floor balcony. This hotel is a non-smoking hotel except in a couple designated smoking areas. We did not see anyone smoking at the pool smoking area, so my wife called the front desk. Francisco said he would send someone to check who was smoking and asked for our room number. We had moved from the balcony into our cramped room. We called back 10 minutes later when no one showed up to our room. Francisco said he sent someone to the pool smoking area to see who was smoking from the balcony, but he did not see anyone. I think his logic was flawed because I stood in the pool area and was not able to see a small light in my balcony simulating someone smoking.
