I'll preface this review by saying that I am writing it before having checked out and that the only reason we are here is because we were sent here by KLM after a cancelled flight, so my mood may already be a little soured. 8 of us went for a trip to Amazon and stayed at this hotel. The hotel itself was great although I felt that the lighting in the rooms were dim. We stayed for 3 nights. We were aware that we had to pay a tourist tax. When we arrived, the duty manager told that they had a change of computer system and things were not going . So they could only take the payment for one night. The next morning, we paid the tax for the ne...

KLM put us here after our flight home to the USA was cancelled. We had never heard of Leonardo and had no idea what to expect. The lighting and shapes were different but finding our way around was easy. All staff was cordial and friendly. Desk staff, who knew our situation, provided each of us a dental kit and told us how to reserve seats on the shuttle to the airport in the morning. Shuttle was on time and gre...

Would Not Choose This Hotel

I was on a Gate One Tour, so I had no choice in the matter of this hotel. It's too far from the city center. Amsterdam is an amazing city and I would have like to stay closer to the center. Staying here felt like you were in a suburb. The room was clean, and beds were comfy on the plus side. They also have a nice strage room with lockers where you can store your luggage if you arrive before check in.

The hotel is located outside of city center. It takes half an hour by car to go to the city center due traffics and narrow streets. The room is good but there is no water. Bathroom is nice. Beds are comfortable. Check in extremely slow. You have to wait too much. Staff is helpful but sometimes they have to ask you wait in the long queue for a simple question.
