Room is good enough, but the rest is exhausting and intrusive

We liked the room: good bed and noise isolation. However, they bombarded us with unsolicited daily emails before the stay. In addition, they though it was appropriate to intrude even more an contacted us by whatsapp. Surprisingly, room service requires to be requested, daily! In a nutshell: exhaustive and intrusive......

Nice receptionist, friendly hotel. Gave us all the relevant information chatting and showing interest in our visit. Our room was on the 11th floor. Very nice room, spacious and very clean. Nice bathroom with plenty of towels, hairdryer and a very nice body wash.
Had a couple of early starts to our day and would have liked a coffee and snack near the reception area but it wasnt open, only complaint....

I have stayed in a lot of 4 and 5* hotels as I value the service and facilities.
The look and rooms of this hotel are lovely, however, some of the reception staff are clueless as to what they are doing and the communication between them is nonsensical.
You have to ask for your room to be cleaned and I thought after 2 nights we needed fresh towels and those coffee pods and cream etc.

I was a little apprehensive as some of the reviews are a little negative. Our room was a little small but perfectly fine, unfortunately as in many of the reviews, the air conditioner did not work and it was a particularly warm week. Just returned from a 3 night stay at the hotel and it was just amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful, also always very willing to share local tips and hints. Omar on the front desk is great. We had a deluxe king on the 16th floor and the views over Amsterdam itself and the park were superb.
